Tips and Tricks
This portion of the guide includes a list of tips and tricks to help you kill a bunch of Nazis, stay alive, and hunt down collectibles effectively.
- This game requires you to be online and may boot you if your internet drops, even if you aren't playing with anyone else.
- If you selected the stealth Cloak when initially building your character be sure to add the Crush ability next. You'll need it to get all the collectibles starting at the Reach the Catacombs - Riverside mission.
- Loot every locker you see. Inside, you can find health, armor, and ammo.
- Before you play, go visit Abby at the Catacombs and make sure you've picked up all her challenges.
- Use the mini map. If an area is darker grey then you haven't been in that room yet.
- You can break glass windows and boarded up doors to find more entrances/collectibles.
- Making kills with a weapon will increase its mastery and level it up. Depending on your play style you may want to focus on powering up one gun or swapping regularly to keep them evenly levelled.
- Kill high ranking officers to stop more enemies from appearing.
- It's tempting to hang back and pick-off enemies but consider running ahead, sometimes a turret is lying around unattended. Use it to clear our enemies.
- Always look up, open windows or air vents often offer new paths or rewards.
- You don't have to clear every room or area. Sometimes you can just run ahead.
- If you die, you respawn without the ammo you used before you died.
- Enemies in some areas respawn, don't assume an area is still clear.
- Only the player who used the floppy disc will know the repsective code. Communicate with your team member to help.
- You can slide by running and pushing crouch.
- Enemies have an ammo icon underneath their names indicating which ammo is most effective against them. Make sure your gun ammo matches the enemy ammo.
- You cannot pause the game, even when playing alone.
- Forward take downs allow you to grab the enemy's gun and use it against them.
- Use your cheer ability liberally. It recharges and can save your life.
- Make sure your partner and your cheer abilities compliment each other. Having both set to armor may not be as worthwhile as having two different things.
- Wooden crates are destructible. Break them with your melee weapon or charge ability for extra ammo or coins.
- Collectibles are not tracked in order and are often locked behind certain missions. For hunting them on your own, be sure to get the Mind > Secrets Collector upgrade and consider waiting until you beat the game to do a hard sweep of everything.
- If both of you are close to death, bleed out and revive the other player to only use one life.
- You can get locked out of areas during your missions so be sure you've taken all the ammo, armor, and coins you can before heading through any doors.
