Best Family Members To Play
Below are some of the best Family members you should play as, alongside a brief description of why they stand out from the rest:
Leatherface
Leatherface is by far one of the most enjoyable characters to play. Not only does he have some great stats that make playing him easy for just about everyone. On top of that, he's the only member of the family that can destroy doors and barriers, which makes it easier for you to hunt down Victims. The only downside to him is that he's all alone when you first start the game, but other than that, he's a great Family member to use.
Johnny
Johnny is another great Family member to play as. His starting stats are on par with Leatherface, and he's another character that players can quickly understand. His ability makes him especially useful because it allows him to track down victims whenever there's a blood trail nearby. This ability can often make or break a game when you're trying to find the Victim standing.
Hitchhiker
Unlike the other two Family members listed above, Hitchhiker's starting stats are a little all over the place. But don't let that discourage you from picking him because his ability is another great one for preventing Victims from escaping. He's the only Family member who can set up traps all around the map, and if these are placed in key locations that Victims visit while trying to escape, they'll notify him. Plus, if you upgrade his stats enough, it'll only make him more dangerous.
Best Victims To Play
Below are some of the best Victims you should play as, alongside a brief description of why they stand out from the rest:
Connie
Connie is arguably one of the most overpowered Victims to play solely because her ability allows her to open any locked door instantly. On top of that, her starting stats are well-rounded, and she can find lockpicks in toolboxes pretty quickly. With the proper perks, you can escape the basement with her within a minute or two of starting the game. The only downside to her ability is that it eats at her stamina and can only be used on one door. Make sure you use her ability wisely.
Leland
Although Leland may be a bit slow when looking for lockpicks and sets off nearly every alarm, he's still a great character to play. He's the only one in the group that has the ability to attack Family members, and doing this can often save you from dying or give you that extra moment you need to escape. Even though some of his stats may not be the best, you can always upgrade them to fit your playstyle.
Sonny
Sonny is especially useful when you're trying to avoid Family members. His ability is similar to Cook's in the sense that he can tune in and hear everything around him, so if you're unsure of where a Family member went, you can use his ability to steer clear of them. On top of that, most of his stats are well-balanced, and like Leland, you can upgrade the ones that need improvement as you level him up.
