Changes in New Game Plus
Congratulations! You've finished one of the four endings within Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and you're wondering what else there is to do in New Game +. Don't worry, we've got you covered. Below are any changes to the game you'll find, along with what else there is to do.
What Should you do BEFORE New Game Plus
Couple of things to keep in mind before starting your New Game +, especially if you're hunting after the Trophies of the game.
- Collect all Lapis Lazuli in the game. There are only 6 per run and you'll need a total of 10 to upgrade all Prosthetics.
- You can find two to be bought with Treasure Carp Scales from Pot Noble Koremori (or Harunga if you completed the Great Carp Questline and fed him Harunga's Truly Precious Bait)
- Two can be gained by defeating the Demon of Hatred
- One is dropped by the Shichimen Warrior in Fountainhead Palace
- One is Given by the Pot Noble whose bait you feed to the Great Carp.
- Get any stray Prayer Beads or Gourd Seeds. All the upgrades you've made to your Healing Gourd and Prayer Beads carry over, so grab any stragglers you may have missed.
- Defeat all the bosses you can, including the optional ones like Demon of Hatred.
What Options do you have IN New Game Plus
There are a few things that change in New Game Plus to keep in mind as well as a few new options you have.
New Changes
- Difficulty increases on each play through until NG+7
- Key items you picked up previously like Gourd Seeds and Prayer Beads have been replaced with other items.
- Your Posture doesn't regenerate nearly as quickly.
- Enemies deal more damage
What does Kuro's Charm do?
Upon starting New Game Plus, you'll get an item called Kuro's Charm. This can further increase the difficulty on subsequent playthroughs. Speaking with Kuro in Moon View Tower, you'll have the option to give it to him. This will give you a debuff that makes you take chip damage when blocking, effectively making you change how you play the game a bit.
