Arcade Mode
As of the 1.05 update for MultiVersus, Arcade mode has been added. This mode includes multiple difficulty settings and lets you tackle the challenges of combat without going online or fighting against bots.
WARNING: Make Sure You Are Ready To Play The Whole Thing
Currently, players are unable to pause or back out of Arcade mode, and you cannot change characters once you start. After queueing for Arcade, you are committed (unless you Alt+F4, of course). You can, however, change skins and perks inbetween matches.
Start In The Main Menu
Right now you can enter Arcade mode by selecting "Arcade (Classic) V0.1" on the main manu, just below "Advanced Tutorials."
Arcade Co-op
NOTE: Coop is also enabled, so you can tackle Arcade with a friend, although that means the CPU will also bring friends. You'll have to decide for yourself whether that makes things easier or harder.
Arcade Difficulty & Rewards
Arcade mode currently has three difficulty modes, each with their own number of stages, and number of retries before you fail.
- Easy (3 Stages - Infinite Retries)
- Medium (5 Stages - 3 Retries)
- Hard (8 Stages - 1 Retries)
Medium and Hard difficulty will also add in a fight with your Nemesis near the end of the arcade run, and which Nemesis you must fight changes depending on the character you play as (Black Adam has Black Lantern Superman as his Nemesis, Superman has Batman as his Nemesis, and so on and so forth).
Arcade doesn't bring any unique rewards of its own, but you can still complete Daily or Seasonal missions there, and completing a run solo, or in co-op, will give you a star on your characters profile in the menu.
The stars will reflect the highest difficulty completed (Bronze for Easy, Silver for Medium, and Gold for Hard) and you'll see a "1" inside the star to signify completion of a Solo run, and a "2" for Co-op.
