Billiards Mini-Game Overview
While exploring Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name's virtual Sotenbori, you'll find plenty of mini-games to partake in. One of the main mini-games you'll stumble across is billiards, which will cross over into the Stroll n' Patrol missions and even the main story.
Below, we'll run through each of the types of billiards games you can play, as well as a rundown of how to complete each course of the One-Shot Challenge.
Billiards Overview
To play billiards, you'll first have to enter the Kiss Shot Billiards Bar in South Shofukucho. Inside, you'll find a billiards table which you can interact with by speaking to the attendant in front of it.
This attendant will offer you various ways to play billiards. Let's quickly run through each game type:
Normal Rules
The main option is the Normal Rules mode, which you can play with a nine-ball, eight-ball, four-ball or rotation set-up.
For each option, you'll be able to play with four difficulties: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Special Tier.
The One-Shot Challenge
Aside from regular billiards, you can also access the One-Shot Challenge from the billiards table. This mini-game will set Kiryu the task of completing three challenge courses with 10 lives. The key is to pot the red ball into a designated hole while not touching any 8 balls.
Each course poses a new challenge with its own obstacles to contend with. The One-Shot challenge ranges between four difficulties: Easy, Normal, Hard and Legend. By completing each difficulty, you'll unlock a new difficulty that ramps up the challenge. If you're completing the easy and normal variants of the one-shot challenge for the Stroll n' Patrol challenges, you can follow our walkthrough on the Easy and Normal One-Shot Challenge Guide.
Exchange Points
By winning games, you'll amass points, which you can exchange with the billiards attendant for various rewards and prizes. These range from valuable items you can sell for money to armour pieces and consumables.
The more valuable the item, the more billiards points it will cost. You can earn points by playing any form of billiards, whether that's Normal Rules or the One-Shot Challenge.
