New Features
- The ability to customize the farm and the surrounding towns (deciding where certain buildings go/look like) - this can only be done once certain people move into town and when certain blue prints are obtained.
- A customizable main character. (Sex, skin color, hair style, hair color, eye shape, eye color, and clothing)
- The ability to change the hairstyle of the main character by going to the hairdresser.
- The ability to gain new clothes by going to the tailor.
- Players will date the bachelor/bachelorette that they're after first. They'll give them a ring, and they will start to date them. The Blue Feather is still used to propose, like most traditional Harvest Moon games.
- Honeymoons and vacations with the family to various places.
- Two new crop species are available: cacti and cotton.
- A new way of fishing with the fish trap.
- A new animal, Yaks, can be kept on the farm.
- Pets such as cats and dogs get fat if not cared for properly.
- Being able to ride in a panda car.
- Only two Harvest Sprites are available. For the first time, a female Harvest Sprite, called Alice - and her younger brother (who shares the same birthday as her), a red-wearing sprite named Aaron.
- Instead of buying furniture and buildings, players buy instructions and then build them themself if they have the material required.
- House expansions are not available.
