Forza Horizon returns with more racing action than ever in Forza Horizon 3.
E3 2016
At E3 2016, during the Microsoft Press Conference, Forza Horizon 3 was revealed for the first time. This time, it's set in Australia, and features a much more diverse ecosystem to drive in.
One of the largely talked about features is the seamless drop in co-op, that allows you to simply hit one button to join a friends game. The co-op is even spread across platforms, so PC owners and Xbox One players can play together seamlessly. There is now also a 4 player story campaign, which is a first in the Horizon franchise.
Along with these in game features, we also learned that Forza Horizon 2 would be one of the many new games that has cross platform play between the Xbox One and PC.
Horizon 2 is expected to release on September 27th, 2016.
Setting
Forza Horizon 3 will be taking place in Australia. The total map size is said to be double that of Horizon 2, and that it will have nearly double the amount of ecosystems as well, making for far more varied driving conditions.
Vehicles
Although no list of Vehicles was confirmed, we saw several different ones in the trailer, such as rally cars, buggys and off-road trucks and various performance cars like the Nissan GT-R.
The total amount of cars that will be available at launch is expected to be 350, with more arriving later. This number is almost 150 greater than what Forza Horizon 2 had upon it's launch.
