Skill Trees
In Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you’ll earn skill points through a variety of activities, like completing side quests or finding Tarsyu Saplings. These can be spent on five distinct skill trees that improve your ability to thrive on Pandora.
This guide will list the various skill trees and their skills, including each tree’s Apex memory.
Skill Trees
To unlock a skill, you must first unlock the skill before it in the skill tree. In order to unlock an Apex memory, you must first unlock every other skill in the corresponding skill tree, then complete an Apex Challenge.
Memories of the Survivor
This skill tree contains skills that improve your survivability, by increasing your health or resistance to damage.
Vitality I Your base health increases by 30. | |||||
Careful Step Damage from plants is reduced by 50%. | Elemental Resistance Resistance against Fire, Poison, and Electricity is increased by 30% | Larger Healing Pouch I Health Pouch capacity increased by +1 | Vigor I You gain an additional 50% of your base energy. | ||
Vitality IV Your base health increases by 120. | Vitality II Your base health increases by 60. | Elemental Knowledge Deal +25% damage to enemies with an active status effect. | Vigor II You gain an additional 50% of your base energy. | Raw Food Diet Eating raw food ingredients replenishes twice as much energy. | |
Vitality III Your base health increases by 90. | Larger Healing Pouch II Health pouch capacity increased by +1. | ||||
Apex Memory - Second Wind When defeated, you can choose to get up again immediately. When activated, damage taken is reduced by 100%. This protection goes down by 10% every second for the next 10 seconds. This action consumes 50% of your maximum energy and cannot be activated if you have less than 50% of your maximum energy left. |
Memories of the Warrior
This skill tree contains skills that aid you in combat, such as increasing the damage you deal or increasing your ammo capacity.
Strength I Your base damage increases by 5%. | ||||||
Tactical Awareness Deal +15% damage to tagged enemies. | Extra Ammo I You can now carry twice as many regular arrows, spears, and firearm rounds. | Strength II Your base damage increases by 5%. | ||||
Strength IV Your Base Damage increases by 10%. | Grenade Specialist You can carry 2 more grenades, for a total of 5. | Extra Ammo II You can now carry twice as many special arrows, spears, and firearm rounds. | Well Prepared Unlocks a fourth slot in your weapon wheel to assign a weapon to it. | |||
Longbow Expert Each hit from a fully drawn Longbow adds +25% damage to the next shot. Stacks up to 3 times. | Spear-thrower Expert Deal +25% damage with the spear-thrower to enemies within 15 meters. | Shortbow Expert Deal +25% damage with the Shortbow while moving. | Heavy Bow Expert Deal +25% Damage with the Heavy Bow against enemies more than 50 meters away. | Strength III Your base damage increases by 10%. | ||
Apex Memory - Powerful Shots When hitting any target with a bow or spear-thrower, you have a chance to briefly disorient the target. |
Memories of the Hunter
This skill tree contains skills that improve your hunting ability, like dealing increased damage to weak spots or making it easier to remain stealthy.
Shadow Hunter When crouching, you are harder to detect and your speed is increased. | ||||
Light-Footed Hunter I When crouching, you make no noise. | Bountiful Hunter Double the amount of cooking ingredients earned from hunting. | Damage Bonus - Wildlife Deal +25% damage to wildlife when wielding bows or the spear-thrower. | ||
Powerful Staffsling I The effect duration and range of siren pod is increased. | Light-Footed Hunter II You no longer make any noise from moving, even while running. | Eye for Quality Na’vi Senses now shows a stronger highlight on veteran and mature animals. | Lethal Stalker Deal +25% damage on your next attack within 10 seconds after killing an unaware target. | Damage Bonus - Weak spots Deal +25% damage to weak spots. |
Powerful Staffsling I The effect duration and range of Skunk Palm Pod is increased. | Expert Hunter Deal +25% damage to weak spots when the target is unaware. | Silent Destroyer Allows you to stealth kill enemies with armored weakpoints. | ||
Apex Memory - Pandoran Harmony While your weapon is holstered, you become “peaceful” to wildlife, and non-predator wildlife will not react to your presence. Any threatening action, such as drawing a weapon, will end the benefit immediately. |
Memories of the Maker
This skill tree contains skills that improve your crafting, including the effectiveness or quantity of crafted items.
Connoisseur I Duration of food buffs increased by 25%. | |||||
Expert Forager I You can carry 5 more cooking ingredients and crafting materials. | Stable Hands Gathering becomes easier to perform, making it more likely to gather in pristine condition. | Connoisseur II The effect of combat buffs from cooked food increases. | |||
Skillful Gatherer Double the amount of cooking ingredients earned from gathering. | Sturdy Arrows Hunting arrows no longer break on impact and may be recovered by picking them by again. | Expert Ammunition Crafter You craft double the amount of Base Ammunition at once. | Renowned Crafter All Na’vi crafting experts are now willing to entrust you with their best materials in recognition of your skill as a master crafter. | Connoisseur III Duration of food buffs increased by another 25%. | Wasteless Cooking Cooking a dish has a chance to produce a second one for free. |
Scavenging Expert You can sometimes find spare parts when looting AMPs. | Expert Forager II You can carry 10 more cooking ingredients and crafting materials each. | ||||
Apex Memory - Master Crafter The gear and weapon items you craft are now more powerful. Newly crafted weapons will deal increased damage and crafted gear will now provide increased health. |
Memories of the Rider
This skill tree contains skills that improve your riding, granting new abilities like aerial dodging or takedown maneuvers. This skill tree is locked until you bond with an ikran in the quest Take Flight.
Barrel Roll While riding on your ikran, use Left Shift + A or D key on PC (Left Stick + X on Xbox, Left Stick + Square on PlayStation 5) to perform an evasive barrel roll to the according side. | |||
Aerial Fishing I Your ikran will catch fish when flying low over deep waters. Fish replenishes energy. | Experienced Flier Your ikran’s stamina cost for maneuvers like barrel roll and flight boost is halved. | Favorite Food Doubles the length of the ikran’s favorite food buff. | Harmonious Rider Non-predator wildlife will not react to you while you are mounted on a direhorse unless you get too close or move in gallop. |
Aerial Fishing II Increases the Energy gained from your ikran eating fish. | Flying Takedown When riding on your ikran, you can take down RDA Scorpions and RDA Samsons while they are staggered. | Improved Energy Your ikran’s Energy increases by 20% | |
Aerial Fishing III Fishing with your ikran now grants the well-fed status. | |||
Apex memory - Hunter’s Boon Performing a Flying Takedown now replenishes 100% of your ikran’s stamina and inflicts stagger to RDA units in an area around you. |
