Marvel's Midnight Suns is an expansive tactical RPG that makes great use of card game mechanics to inject variety and unpredictability into its excellent combat.

Probably one of the best Marvel games I have played, and easily the most tactical!
A brilliant combat system allows each hero to not only feel like their own, but with a few exceptions, also feel like they love up to the power and strength of their comic counterparts. Lovers of card based combat should find this immediately.
Story wise on the whole I really liked it, but acknowledge it is flawed. Although I have seen some critique the characters I found them all quite true to their source material and great to get to know. The overarching plot is quite shaky however, it took me 50 hours to complete the main story (although that includes me doing the side content) and I did felt there were some areas that could have been cut for time, especially in the first act.
All in all however a spectacular game that I really liked despite some flaws! Would recommend to all marvel and card fans!!

This game was imperfect in many ways but it's also some of the most nerdy fun I've had playing a game in a long time. Maybe most importantly, it really captures that XCom "one more round" feeling. I kind of wish there was more of a time crunch - you can play and pump up your team endlessly before a certain point in the main story - so there's no pressure. Still, it gave me a chance to prepare for the final battle, which was quite a challenge. It also let me discover and unlock nearly everything in a single playthrough.
I do wish there was character perma-death to add that extra XCom stress, but I totally get why they did not do that - especially for the handful of characters that are plot-required.
My kids loved watching me play it. My biggest complaint is that I can't drop in and co-op with my son to help him through the campaign.
In a lot of ways, this felt and looked like a 360- and PS3-era game. But man, was it fun. I truly wish it had performed better so that we'd get more. I'll console myself by looking forward to the next XCom game.

Graphics from 2016 and slow loadtimes and gameplay all add up to taking you back to 2008 when video games were buggy like this one. 2K has made some bad nba games the past few years but this is just sad

Midnight Suns surprised me. I am not a Tactical RPG fella yet I could not stop playing Midnight Suns.
The combat is fun and thoughtful but the real draw here is forging relationships with Marvel Superheroes and getting to know ones I haven’t met before.
The dialogue is drenched in Downey-isms and can be a little grating. Some of the voice acting is fine at best (I’m looking at you Hunter).
Must play if curious about the genre.

Once you look past the interesting marketing that the game had, it's a brilliant turn based card game where you can have so much fun with several decks to build and change as you need. The story is a joy to play through and talking and getting to know the marvel characters both household name and less so is wicked, building relationships and having hangouts adds more to the downtime between the story beats. It's worth a play if you enjoy card builders, and even if you don't, it might still be worth a try.
