Biomutant Review
okay
Biomutant has a lot of the building blocks of a top-drawer action RPG but its cookie-cutter approach to objectives and puzzles starts feeling very repetitive very early on.

When I saw the beautiful graphics, the fully customizable weapons and the vast world to explore, I was wondering why it wasn't such an acclaimed and memorable game.
After playing over 25 hours, I get it!
The graphics are beautiful, the world has a striking visual, the weapon customization is interesting and fun, and the game's sense of humor is pleasant.
However, a tiringly large world with an extremely repetitive variety of enemies, with an even more repetitive variety of puzzles.
The combat mechanics are annoying, with enemies that simply break your combos with ease, even if you try to dodge.
Repetitive missions without interesting motivations, which after playing for a while, leave you feeling like you can't play anymore.
Not to mention tons of bugs: equipment disappearing without explanation, missions that are not validated, projectiles that you dodge and still hit you, etc...
What irritated me the most was the fact that the mechanics of climbing on things are horrible! In some areas, there are containers with items on high floors, forcing you to climb up to open them. The problem is that the character simply doesn't hold on to edges and also slips on minimally curved terrain, which makes it impossible to reach high levels.
What kept me in the game were the graphics, the desire to build better weapons and the intention of beating the game. Just that. I finished the game leaving several side missions undone, precisely because I couldn't take it anymore.
It had much more potential to be an attractive and striking game.
