The new Pokemon anime, Pokemon Horizons, has enjoyed its first episode premiere in Japan, but can you stream and watch episode 1 online in other countries? Here’s what we know about its arrival in the United States and beyond, and whether you can legally enjoy the new series.
Is the new Pokemon anime available to stream online?
At the time of writing, there is no legal way for Pokemon fans to stream Pokemon Horizons online and watch outside of Japan, except in Canada where they are released weekly. Episodes are expected to land at some point on Netflix in the U.S. and U.K., but exactly when they will arrive remains to be seen.
In the past, Pokemon episodes have dropped in batches around two months after their Japanese debut. That means the English dub for the new Pokemon anime likely won’t be available on Netflix in the U.S. and U.K. until at least June 2023.
Pokemon Horizons airs weekly on TV Tokyo in Japan at 6:55 p.m. JST.
