I've read the 'Dawn of the Jedi' comic series. While this story is set in the same time it is another story altogether. However, there are events, things, and people common to both stories that bind them together. There are no spoilers, in either story, for the other. I recommend reading them both with no worry about what order. However, the comic series provides more history.
