Installing Soko

The easiest way to install this game is by uploading the Soko.pdx file to your Playdate account on the Sideload page. After this, you can refresh the games list on your device and install Soko wirelessly. For more info, check out this help page.

Adding Extra Level Packs

Put your Playdate device in Disk Disk mode (HomeSettingsSystemReboot to Data Disk) and navigate to the PLAYDATE/Data/*****.soko/levels/ folder. Place your custom level packs (in the common SOK format) here and unmount your Playdate when done. Next, open Soko and open the import level menu from the level selection screen. Scroll down to the file you want to load and press A to add the new pack to the list of levels.

Oh man, this looks just perfect! I was going to try my hand at making a sokoban game when my Playdate finally arrived but I can see there's no need now that this great version exists. Nice job!!

I’m stuck on level 10 for weeks now and I can’t solve it. Is driving me crazy, any hints?

Hi, it seems Sokoflan 10 ended up being a little bit more challenging than I’d aimed it to be, sorry about that :’)

[spoilers]

You’ll need to move the box at the top 1 space to the right, and then move the box at the left to the starting position of the box at the top (so 1 up and 1 to the right).

That should hopefully send you in the right direction. If you’re still stuck after that, this video by gogamego shows the full solution at about 14m:

Oh wow, thank you so much! I feel a huge relief. Your game is really well-done and the graphics are great. Amazing work!

I'm about halfway through and in terms of value for your dollar I'm hard pressed to complain. The graphics are easy to decipher on public transit and there's a fair amount of content.

It also highlights how little I patience I have for getting stuck in games as I age but that's a "me" problem :)

Great implementation, and the included level packs are excellent!

This is a fun game. The graphics and audio are both perfect.
