Okay first the good. I like the board game and the digital version is well implemented. I recommend this game as a stand alone or solo experience.

The bad is a few things. Number one is that the ELO rating system encourages bad actors. If you're playing a game against someone with lower ELO, you will get little or no gain from winning the game, but can lose massive ELO from losing it. That wouldn't be a problem (I don't usually care about ranked play) except one of the hidden achievements is to get a certain ELO. So, if I want to get that achievement, I need to play like an awful person in ranked play, leaving games I'm not gonna win or asking someone to tank their ELO so I can get the last achievement. ELO is not zero sum, it's negative sum. The last game I played, the winner got 7 points, I lost 9, and the loser lost hundreds. Scythe is not a nice game. I don't want to be under pressure in a game that can be really mean at times to metagame to a higher ELO.

Also, the unskippable cutscenes are unnecessary.

In short, don't play ranked, and don't put achievements in game requiring players to be mean.
