Disclaimer: I've only cared to play the PVE portion of this game. It's not perfect by any means, and is mostly serviceable when the main focus is supposed to be PVP.

The star of this game is the curated maps. The base game maps feel tame and restricted in comparison with no quests and no NPCs. My favorite map has to be Elver. It was such a fun experience to play through in PVE and filled with the wonder and mystery that I thought I'd lost from survival games.

Also, minor thing, but I love that you can make yourself look like a zombie. Makes silly little headcanons go brr. Cosmetics aren't too great though, but it's refreshing not to see it so heavily focused on to begin with.
