Hey guys, I need to know how to save the game?

Not sure what the heck is happening but the game is hilariously broken for me currently. I've played through the entire original release but decided to pick this version up now that it has a translation. Catching fish gives no scene follow-up, and most don't even show a sprite. Fish tank scenes don't activate. Story completely desynced right out of the gate and I was able to go straight to the very end within 5 minutes of starting. Deleted my copy of the game from my hard drive and did the same with this v...
