New Release Date and Soundtrack!

Two big announcements today. The first is that we've got the final masters of the full soundtrack for Captain Contraption's Chocolate Factory. I have updated the demo with the new tracks and also made a new trailer which you can watch below and share with your friends. We are super happy with the soundtrack, it's a low-fi beats style with some jazz vibes to pull you back to the 90s midi soundtracks of games which inspired us.

The second announcement is that the release date is now going to be a day earlier on 17th July... ...there were some big releases on the 18th we wanted to avoid and we are getting ahead of ourselves with development.

Also, we've started to see some YouTubers cover our demo - please show them some love - in particular check out this video from Angory Tom. If you can think of any YouTubers to contact about the game let us, or them, know!

General Music volume control doesn't work until restart. Stuck with 16:19 aspect ratios on a 16:10 screen. "Let us know what you think" is just a link to Discord... sorry, but I'm not making another account in order to visit your hidden, walled-garden community, just to be locked out all over again because Discord arbitrarily decides to demand my phone number from me. Yes, right now it's a popular "network-effect" platform, but it really does stink for usability and longe...

Cost requirements suck the fun out of this kind of game

The whole fun thing about this kind of game is coming up with fun and creative solutions... Once you add cost requirements into it, you take away a ton of creative solutions. It makes the game way more finicky where it feels like mostly we just have to find the developer's intended solution. You can still have rewards for hitting certain cost goals for players who want that kind of thing, but don't make it a requirement to complete levels and progress....

Possible bug when rotating cannon

When rotating the cannon, I click the rotate arrow and it moves the cannon down and left a block, which is frustrating because I have to move the mouse to click again, and again, and again. A better solution would be to rotate the object around the 'rotate' icon. A hotkey would also help with this but that isn't really the point. Honestly, I don't think I'd release a 1.0 until this is more user friendly....
