Crown frowns

With the long overdue debuff for the Crown of Bureaucracy finally updated a couple patches back- are Crowns currently worth the trade off? Power behind the Throne/Kingmaker is hysterical if it could be pulled off, but that is a very long shot which doesn't add much to your game-play most of the match. Seems like an amulet and ring, or three rings, gives much more game-play bang for the buck. In the OG there was more play-ability as you could take negative penalties to offset the cost of power behind t...

If you were in a sessional game, it will remain in progress and you will be able to re-enter via the main menu.

Hail Archfiends!

We have a little hotfix for you today to just clear out a small issue with supporting Legions not triggering correctly when attacking Panda.

Bug Fix

When attacking Pandaemonium to seize it, and you are not currently excommunicated when beginning the attack, support from your other Legions will now correctly apply.

That's it. Just a small (but obviously extremely important) fix today.

How do I sell this game to my friends?

So, I heard how this game, despite how great it is, didn't exactly hit the marks the studio was hoping for. I really hope they can pick up the game again after a nice hibernation (better than just killing it entirely like some projects). That said, I want to be able to play this game with friends, try to spread this little gem to other people. Find new ways to see how much strain I can put on our friendship every other weekend. The problem is...I'm terrible at trying to get other people to try a game I li...

Hey there Archfiends, what a cozy little day in Hell it is!

So cozy in fact, that we have a little patch for you. That's right, it's the one we teased last week, so you know we've got some Hot New Content™ in v1.1.2 that should serve even the most evil of Archfiends' devious plans. Full patch notes to follow!

New Content

New Place of Power - Pillar of Skulls
New Artifact of War - Wyrmm Mounts
New Artifact of Sorcery - Skull of the Vile Saint
New Artifact Ritual - Ashen Aegis (Granted when Skull of the Vile Saint is installed)
New Ritual - Raid the Library
New Ritual - Blight Wisdom

Bug Fixes

Various VFX fixes.
Fix for NMA caused by attempting to maintain Rituals that require no cost to maintain.
Fix for NMA that can be caused by promoting a Place of Power.
Praetor teleport animation fixes (might still be something broken here, but we can't repro. Bug it up if you see any issues!).
When the 'Dark Clouds Gather' Edict is active while Regent, you are now presented with a single prompt in the turn log to select which Event card to retain instead of having no ability to keep the card presented via Regency.
Fix for 'Buried Fountain' Place of Power sometimes being too buried.
Fix for Stratagems sometimes using the wrong string in modifier lists.
Correctly display the cost of 'Scour the Wastes' Dark Art Ritual in its description.
Properly update turn submission status fire urn UI element when turn order is adjusted by Regency Contingencies.

Misc

Praetor default duelling moves added to the encyclopaedia.
If a Praetor move is upgraded before a Praetor duel is resolved, the new, upgraded Praetor move is used.

had an amazing ending to a game.

5 person game, 3 people left to be replaced by Hellish AI. the other player put me in a planar lock but momma geressen ain't raise no quitter. at the end its just me with 100 or so points, him with 1000 and the AI ( who was at this point his vassal) at 60. game ends, AI vassal wins a manipulation victory. dude spent so long trying to dominate, became a puppet to the AI. priceless....

Quite a simple political turn-based strategy game with great eye-catching art direction.

It is not a "4X strategy," and I wouldn't call it a "grand strategy."

Systems are versatile but shallow. Even a "long" game session is relatively short and condensed, but I think those are advantages of Solium Infernum—think of it as one-evening skirmishes, not as lengthy campaigns.
