Good game filled with plenty to do without feeling overwhelming. Very good music which is often used as background music for Youtube vids. Great quest system where you get quest points for completing quests which allows you to get useful and fun rewards from progressing your mileage.

Jagex sees the player as money. That is all.
Lootboxes, premium currency, membership plus, other types of useless premium currency, traditional microtransactions, battlepass, and more. They have it all. It's such a slap in the face to any player and a disgusting practice by a once respected company (a long, long time ago).
Selling gold, selling xp, selling absurd cosmetic content to undervalue the aesthetic of the game, the list goes on.
They just want the whales to spend money, nothing more, nothing less.
Just about everything has fell off a cliff in quality since the Gower brothers stepped down/left a decade or more ago.

There is just an absurd amount of content and a lot of it from the older days is still pretty awesome. However, the people running this game now are just disappointing to put it lightly.
Dead content everywhere, Jagex sells achievement then says "it doesn't impact your achievement" when it most certainly does.

I could go on and on, but if you're thinking about playing this game just don't, it's time came in the early 2000s, and died November 20, 2012.

I hate this game.
