Dantooine Tactical Report[]

This is the article for the Assesor's report. If you were trying to make the OOU article for the actual article itself, you can remove the Delete tag and do so. Fan26 (Talk) 19:37, May 7, 2019 (UTC)

I was trying to start something for that and rapidly ran out of time -- I'll try to find some other similar articles and correct it. -- sulfur (talk) 00:44, May 8, 2019 (UTC)
I've tried to revamp it appropriately, if you can take a look to see if it works better... Dantooine Tactical Report. -- sulfur (talk) 00:56, May 8, 2019 (UTC)
  • AFAICT that works, good job Fan26 (Talk) 00:59, May 8, 2019 (UTC)

Chadkol Gee[]

Essentially the whole thing could be expanded, it could have a personality/traits section, an equipment section, and it wouldn't hurt to expand the biography some more since he was in all four issues played a big part, hope this helps! --Lewisr (talk) 21:22, April 19, 2020 (UTC)

That does. Leaving it on the talk page would've made it easier too!
The main section does cover all of the actions and most of what we know about the character from the story too. -- sulfur (talk) 00:11, April 20, 2020 (UTC)

Redirecting articles[]

Hello. Please refrain from redirecting articles the subject matter of which you're not familiar with. "Honarius Hanast" is the proper spelling of the article you redirected and merged to "Honorius Hanast," a misspelled version I was not aware of. Whenever you're not 100% sure of the subject matter or are simply going by what's on the wiki page, please just leave a Merge template instead. Thank you. Imperators II(Talk) 06:44, September 20, 2020 (UTC)

No worries -- will do next time. -- Sulfur (talk) 11:11, September 20, 2020 (UTC)

Goma noodles[]

I was linking it back from the article, as it had been orphaned by its removal from another page, and nobody had questioned its citation to that release in over a year at that time. It'd be better to ask the creator of that page. -- Sulfur (talk) 01:29, October 20, 2020 (UTC)
    • Thanks for the info. --Rakhsh (talk) 01:48, October 20, 2020 (UTC)

Re: Broken refs[]

Yo, thanks for letting me know. I'm gonna update that workspace to the newest version tomorrow where everything is fixed. Or maybe I'll just empty it, I don't know if I even need it anymore. CanePlayz (talk) 03:45, 21 November 2020 (UTC)

Broken references[]

Thank you for telling me. I'll get to work fixing those soon. Can you point out one of the broken references just so I have a better idea what to look out for when editing it and for the future?--Editoronthewiki (talk) 03:48, 21 November 2020 (UTC)

Broken refs[]

Thank you but I'm totally aware of that, it's a draft page. Best, Hk 47 (talk) 21:52, 14 December 2020 (UTC)

  • Thanks for pointing it out -- it's a draft page so errors are expected since I've not worked on it for several years. I'll get around to fixing it one day I should imagine! - Sir Cavalier of OneFarStar(Squadron channel) 23:41, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
In both cases -- I knew it was a draft page, just wanted to make sure you were aware. I've just been doing it to work to clean up the category so that it's obvious when there are real errors present. -- Sulfur (talk) 23:43, 14 December 2020 (UTC)

Insider links[]

Hi, please stop removing the link Rogues Gallery (Star Wars Insider) from {{InsiderCite}}. Removing it puts in a redirect link, which is not preferable. Thanks. JediMasterMacaroniAdmiral Ackbar RH(Conversation) 19:20, 24 January 2021 (UTC)

Why is this not preferable? Wouldn't it be better for that Rogues Gallery page to see where links ARE coming in via as opposed to just a generic link to the full collection? There were already a few redirects in there that were partially populated... -- Sulfur (talk) 19:23, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
If you'd like to specify which article of Rogues Gallery exactly is being cited, you can always do something like this: {{InsiderCite|130|Rogues Gallery (Star Wars Insider)#130|Rogues Gallery: The Unusual Suspects: Who's Who in Mos Eisley}}, which produces SWInsider "Rogues Gallery: The Unusual Suspects: Who's Who in Mos Eisley" — Star Wars Insider 130. I hope that helps. JediMasterMacaroniAdmiral Ackbar RH(Conversation) 19:29, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
So, you didn't answer my question. Why is this NOT preferable?
In addition, adding the anchor to the link doesn't do anything useful on "What links here". The redirect shows how the incoming article link arrives (ie, via redirect to #130, etc). Putting an anchor on the link just helps the user direct to the right part of the page, but doesn't assist maintenance. -- Sulfur (talk) 19:32, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
To answer the question, while redirects aren't the worst things in the world, status articles are kept free of them, so that should tell you something. Additionally, could you expain why you want to know where the links are coming from? Why is that useful? JediMasterMacaroniAdmiral Ackbar RH(Conversation) 20:13, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
Redirect links can be useful when verifying that an article listed in the source actually lists the source as one. Or that it is updated to include extra information in that source. In addition, if there ends up being a reason to split an article like that for some reason, it becomes very easy to maintain the link updating. Only the redirects need to be fixed as opposed to potentially 500+ incoming links. -- Sulfur (talk) 20:15, 24 January 2021 (UTC)
Hey, I know this is a very old conversation, but WP:MOS#General rules tells us not to use redirecting links. JediMasterMacaroniAdmiral Ackbar RH(Talk) 16:48, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

  • You removed the name "Amy," which inaccurately reflects the source material that our articles are citing, which would also be a violation of our Attribution policy. Let me make this very clear for you: By Wookieepedia policy, no information may be removed from articles or otherwise misrepresented unless approved by the Wookieepedia community or mandated by universal Fandom policy that overrides and contradicts our own local policies. Until one of those things happens, you may not take it upon yourself to institute any changes that violate our policies. It's very clear from your comments on the related CT and your actions here that you have a personally motivated agenda to push with this, so I will be direct: I will block you from editing if you persist in violating our policies. In use[]

Hello, Sulfur. Thank you for fixing those broken links, however, I was currently editing the article and lost three hours of work. I fixed those links as part of my work that is now lost. I know you had good intentions, but please please please respect the "In Use" template. You even acknowledged that you knew the article was "In Use." I would really appreciate it for next time, thank you. --Vitus InfinitusTalk 22:36, 9 April 2021 (UTC)

  • You're still doing this. It's really not the end of the world for there to be a broken reference for a day or two. JediMasterMacaroniAdmiral Ackbar RH(Talk) 19:42, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
    • Yeah, for some reason, the page loaded partway down and I didn't spot it until it was saved. -- Sulfur (talk) 00:00, 5 June 2021 (UTC)
  • Heyo Sulfur! You may or may not have done it again with Unnamed :P . I was luckily not editing it at the time, but just keep it in mind to check the maintenance tags before editing please. Thanks! Braha'tok enthusiast (Hello there) 08:53, 5 June 2021 (UTC)
    • Yup. That's the one Macaroni was pointing out above. -- Sulfur (talk) 13:18, 5 June 2021 (UTC)

Clone Trooper doll[]

Hi Sulfur! I see you've reverted my edit where I moved "Clone trooper doll" to "Clone Trooper doll." I moved the page per the subject's Databank entry, I wonder if there's a policy or something like that that I miss out while moving the page, I would be glad if you could inform me. Thanks! Efe Önem (talk) 20:57, 21 June 2021 (UTC)

I didn't see the DB link in there -- perhaps that should be the correct place. In any case, if you do move something like that, it's best to update the incoming links as well so that the new article isn't orphaned. -- Sulfur (talk) 16:15, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
Okay then, have a great day! Sorry for forgetting to add my signature by the way. Efe Önem (talk) 20:57, 21 June 2021 (UTC)

Accurate reference[]

Regarding this edit, if you're not convinced that something was accurate then why did you not just replace the reference with a fact template? Lewisr (talk) 15:31, 10 July 2021 (UTC)

Because I couldn't figure out what the correct template was to put there. Thanks for reminding me of the name of it. -- Sulfur (talk) 10:36, 12 July 2021 (UTC)

Inuse tag[]

While your edit is appreciated, the page you just edited currently has a template called {{Inuse}} at the top. This template means that someone is currently working on improving the article, and to avoid edit conflicts, no one other than the placer of the template should edit the page while the message is visible. If you would like to notify someone of an issue with the article, feel free to leave a message on the article's talk page or join our Discord server. Thank you for reminding me. It still needs expansion from the episode "Ambush" but yes I'm done with the article for now. I forgot I did not remove the In Use tag after I got sick, thank you. --Vitus InfinitusTalk 22:00, 8 January 2022 (UTC)

Not a problem -- thanks for the response, and hope that you're feeling better. -- Sulfur (talk) 02:40, 9 January 2022 (UTC)

Hi, while the ref fix on Tian Chyler is appreciated, it would be kind of you to leave a message next time saying you've done so on the probation page, if any, so that the review board can easily keep track of outstanding issues without having to check the article again by chance. Thanks. UberSoldat93 Din Djarin's clan (talk) 13:58, 31 July 2022 (UTC)

Understood. I noticed that it was accidentally broken (due to a typo) in an edit an hour or two earlier so felt it a simple fix in that sense. I'll definitely leave an update the next time. -- Sulfur (talk) 15:35, 31 July 2022 (UTC)

I thought I'd let you know that you can have fix anything on articles I have tagged with inuse, (I will use my signature) I save my edits before submitting, so there can be no inconvenience. Thanks! Samonic Signatureicon (Talk) 07:09, 15 September 2022 (UTC)

Yeah, if the inuse is on there, it's still courtesy to leave it alone. I missed spotting it among all the other header notices until I'd hit save the first time around, so thus my revert. Thanks for the info though. -- Sulfur (talk) 11:57, 15 September 2022 (UTC)

Thanks[]

Hey, thanks for cleaning these up. I thought I had gotten them all but apparently not :P. Just so I know for the future, how fo you find templates with dup tags like that? JediMasterMacaroni(Talk) 15:51, 4 January 2023 (UTC)

Check out this category for the win.
I'd love to be able to get the others figured out to empty it out, but there's a bunch of user pages that have them too. :) -- Sulfur (talk) 19:33, 4 January 2023 (UTC)

Archivedate[]

Yo, Sulfur, greatly appreciate all your work on the removal of archivedates; however, to save you some time, I'm gonna go ahead and use RoboCade to clear out those redundant archivedates if that's cool with you. I just need to find/recreate the script I made for it back when I first wrote the ArchiveAccess module. Cade GalacticRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 14:59, 15 April 2023 (UTC)

I'm perfectly fine with that! I'm mostly finding the ones that aren't in the ones in the modules and just happening to clean up the redundant stuff as I go. Any work you do saves me time! :) -- Sulfur (talk) 15:11, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
Hi, just wanted to chime in and say that there is info unique to older versions of certain entries, so I would advise double-checking to see if that's the case. UberSoldat93 Din Djarin's clan (talk) 15:23, 15 April 2023 (UTC)

I've been trying to check those to see if there's anything and when there's something obvious, marking it with the 'oldversion=1' tag on the template. -- Sulfur (talk) 15:25, 15 April 2023 (UTC)

Clone Commando, Battle of Praesitlyn[]

A week ago, you edited the Legends article, Clone commando, stating that you removed the Battle of Praesitlyn to "coincide with removal by Red Heathen". The removal I had made was the bit about "half-fledging" commandos, but these clones were actually commandos. I also made a comment on the talk page that ARCs weren't really Republic commandos in the sense that the word had come to be associated with four-man squads that had been trained to work together, as opposed to ARCs, who had been trained to work independently. Did you remove the Battle of Praesitlyn from the Clone Commando/Legends article because of this last bit? If so, would you please discuss this with me? The beginning of the novel, Jedi Trial, does seem to indicate that the fifty clone commandos are ARCs because "...they were capable of fighting successfully on their own...", which should definitely imply ARC rather than commando, but on page 251, there is a clear distinction between ARCs and clone commandos: "We will be preceded by Clone Commandos, led by an ARC trooper..." <-- In my opinion, this quote is a distinction that tells us that both ARCs and commandos were at the Battle of Praesitlyn. Would you mind sharing your thoughts with me? If you think the same, do you think that your edit should be reverted? I personally do think so, but I am interested in hearing your opinion because I admittedly miss a lot. Either way thanks so much for cleaning up after me. When I made my edit, I didn't think that the battle needed to be removed. Maybe they were in a different battle? I read this novel years ago and have only searched it for key terms, which proves I could have missed something crucial, such as the actual battle the commandos participated in. Your help with this would be greatly appreciated! Red Heathen (talk) 20:46, 23 May 2023 (UTC)

I was going along line with the rest of the removals -- that broke some references. I'm happy to have it reverted, but the reference corrected. It's been a LONG time since I read that novel, so if you feel that should remain, that's fine, we'll just re-add, correct the reference, and be happy campers :) -- Sulfur (talk) 12:01, 24 May 2023 (UTC)

Fantasy Flight Games Youtube[]

Do you think a citation template should be created for the Fantasy Flight Games YouTube Channel in the vein of {{SWYouTube}}, {{EASWYouTube}}, {{ILMxLABYouTube}}? The channel covers some Star Wars works such as Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game, Star Wars: Unlimited, and Star Wars: Outer Rim. We already have {{FFGweb}} so I think it would be appropriate.
