A space gunship was a model of gunship of the Galactic Republic, similar to the LAAT/i, used during the Clone Wars. Circa 21 BBY, one such craft belonging to the unit Plo's Bros was utilized to evacuate the strike team sent to Lola Sayu during the Battle of Lola Sayu.
These gunships were sealed for space travel, and had two external floodlights instead of the bubble turrets of the LAAT/i.

A space gunship flying past the Lola Sayu defense fleet.
This gunship model had its bubble turrets replaced with large external floodlights and was better equipped for space travel, having a sealed cabin.[1] One known unit had the markings of Jedi Master Plo Koon's gunships, Plo's Bros.[2]
History[]
A space gunship was used during the Battle of Lola Sayu[2] in 21 BBY.[3] The gunship passed through the blockade over the planet with the help of three Delta 7B starfighters to rescue a strike team on Lola Sayu.[2]
Space gunships were also used to land troops on the ground when the Republic invaded Umbara in 21 BBY.
A Republic military base on Coruscant had a garrison of these gunships. At least two were used to track down Ahsoka Tano during her escape from the Republic military base.
