During the Clone Wars, bounty hunter Boba Fett sabotaged the Venator-class Star Destroyer Endurance in an attempt to kill Jedi Master Mace Windu.[2]
Prelude[]
- "Boba was on Geonosis when his father died. He watched as I killed him."
"That would complicate things."
"Indeed." - ―Jedi Mace Windu and Anakin Skywalker
Boba Fett was the clone son of bounty hunter Jango Fett, created as part of Jango's payment from the Kaminoans for serving as the genetic donor for the clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic. Jango was killed by Jedi Master Mace Windu during the early stages of the First Battle of Geonosis, an event Boba witnessed.[4]
Boba eventually fell into the care of fellow bounty hunters Aurra Sing and Bossk, both of whom had previously worked with Jango. Sing encouraged the boy to seek revenge against Windu for the death of his father.[2]
