The Declaration of a New Republic was a document issued by Mon Mothma that formally established the New Republic and completed the Alliance to Restore the Republic transformation into a government one month after the Battle of Endor. It spelled out to the galactic public at large the government system and ideals of freedom, democracy, and justice that the New Republic hoped to return to the galaxy.
