Following the Battle of Corbos in 6900 BBY which concluded the Hundred-Year Darkness, numerous Dark Jedi Exiles were forced to board unarmed galleons and banished from known space by the Galactic Republic. Deprived of weapons and star-charts,[1] the Exiles wandered through the stars, guided by the instincts of one of their own, Sorzus Syn. Eventually, the Dark Jedi reached a sector unknown to the Republic, which belonged to the fabled Kingdom of the Sith.[2] At least two of the starships in which the Exiles traveled[3] arrived on the planet Korriban, where the Dark Jedi subjugated members of the Sith species.[2]
Later, a faction of Sith Lords[1] led by Baron Remulus Dreypa decided that it was time to take revenge on the Jedi Order and their weak Republic,[4] for the purpose of which they studied the navigation computer of the galleon that had brought them to Sith Worlds and analyzed the hyperspace route taken.[1] These Dark Jedi, eager to return, left the Sith Empire on another ship.[4]
