  • The characters that are part of collaborations have unique features that distinguishes them from the rest of the characters:
    • Unique announcers
      • Tekken 7 characters have the Tekken 7 announcer.
      • Samurai Shodown characters have Daiki Nakamura as the announcer.
      • WWE wrestlers have Michael Cole as the announcer.
      • Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 characters has the Guilty Gear Xrd announcer.
      • Street Fighter V characters will have an announcer that sounds similar to the Star Gladiator announcer. Street Fighter 6 characters have the announcer from that game.

      • Virtua Fighter characters will have an announcer that's similar to the one heard in the Virtua Fighter games.

  • During a developer interview regarding the crossover with Street Fighter, it was revealed that Luke was included due to his role in the then-upcoming Street Fighter 6, and that Netmarble wanted to have Ken and more female Street Fighter characters.[1]
  • During the Street Fighter V crossover event, after Akuma and M. Bison were released, the music that played on the main menu was changed to that of Akuma's Street Fighter V theme. However, this only occurred on the mobile versions; the music did not change for the desktop versions of the game and was the same as when the Street Fighter V collaboration event started.
  • Collaboration characters cannot participate in the Soul Quest once their respective collaboration event ended.
  • At one point, Kusanagi was only playable as a randomly selected character in Dream Match until he was removed in a patch during the second Tekken 7 crossover event. He was eventually made playable in a later patch.
  • There are two versions of Haohmaru in the game: one from Samurai Shodown IV: Amakusa's Revenge and one from The King of Fighters XV. For some strange reason, the two are not considered to be the same character and are thus unable to use any Haohmaru-exclusive battle cards with each other.
  • On June 27, 2024, it was announced that King of Fighters ALLSTAR would end its services on October 30, 2024.[2]
