Gameplay[]
Tekken is a fighting game developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Tekken uses separate buttons for right and left limbs, resulting in four buttons. Other trademarks include throw escapes and starting from Tekken 2, autoblock. Each iteration was improved upon both graphically and technically. Tekken 3 introduced the ability to move into the foreground or away from the background, commonly referred to as "sidestepping". Also, Tekken 3 reduced recovery time after being knocked down then previous games and each game afterwards includes rolls to recover instantly after hitting the ground; allowing the player to get back into the fight instead of pounding buttons. Tekken 4 gave characters even greater mobility by adding true 3D movement while simultaneously including geometrically complex arenas with unleveled ground, obstacles, and walls. This differed from previous Tekken games, where all of the arenas were level and contained no boundaries, meaning the player could walk forward or backward without limit. Tekken 5 saw the return of both walled and infinite arenas, with the fluid mobility of Tekken 4 being toned down to appease many players who felt it made the game more focused on evasion.

Geese Howard, the main antagonist of the Fatal Fury series, boss in the Art of Fighting series and re-occurring character in The King of Fighters series, was announced at EVO 2017 as part of the first set of DLC characters. His special moves involve his iconic special moves: Reppuken, Double Reppuken, Shippuken, Hishou Nichirin Zan, and Jaei Ken. He also has MAX Mode, styled after The King of Fighters XIV's version of the mechanic, such as having command move and MAX Mode cancels. He is one of the few characters who have 2 Supers, the first being his Rashoumon, his other Rage Art move being Deadly Rave.
In addition to Geese, he comes with his own stage, "Howard Estate", modeled after his stage in Fatal Fury: King of Fighters. It is the only stage with multiple wall breaks, has a second section to the stage, and comes with two versions of his theme Soy Sauce for Geese (under the name "Howard Estate 1st" and "Howard Estate 2nd"); the first being taken directly from Fatal Fury Special, and the second being a Tekken styled remix of the theme. Geese also has multiple different outfits, one of which being based on his younger appearance in Art of Fighting 2 and The King of Fighters Neowave.

- Geese's reveal trailer makes several references to other SNK titles:
- His full screen appearance directly reference his stage opening in Fatal Fury Special.
- The segment where he counters most of the Tekken 7 roster's attacks is similar to his KOF XIV reveal trailer, where he counters attacks from the KOF's roster.
- The ending part of his trailer shows him falling off a tower, a reference to how he dies in Fatal Fury: King of Fighters and Real Bout Fatal Fury.
- Although Geese's gameplay is styled after his appearance in The King of Fighters XIV, it is actually merger of both his normal and Nightmare forms, dating back to SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos.
- Geese has two voice actors for his appearance in Tekken 7, both being Kong Kuwata and Richard Epcar. Kuwata voices Geese during battle, while Epcar voices Geese during intros and outros. This is because in the Tekken series (starting with Tekken Tag Tournament 2 onwards), most of the characters speak in their native tongue. Since Geese hails from the United States of America, he speaks in full English.
- Geese is also playable in Ultimate Tekken Bowl, a bowling mini-game in Tekken 7. The color of Geese's bowling ball is a vibrant red.
- An early version of Tekken 7's Steam Page, shortly after Geese's arrival, mistakenly stated that he came from the Fatal Frame series (a ghost horror game developed by Koei Tecmo which currently co-own it with Nintendo).
