Roadmap
Stage 1: Complete the Game, Completing all 3 Sidequests
Clea is a puzzle/horror game. The titular heroine, Clea, will instantly die if touched by any enemy, so stealth and patience are necessary for success. Each chapter's trophy description contains a walkthrough for the puzzles of that chapter, though you paid for a puzzle game, so consider holding off on reading (at least if you want to enjoy solving the puzzles yourself). That said, the game has 3 endings. You'll always be able to access 2 of them, but you can accidentally lock yourself out of the third. At the very end of the game, you'll be given a choice. Once choice always results in the
![gold gold](https://cdn.statically.io/img/psnprofiles.com/lib/img/icons/buttons/gold.png)
Each chapter's write-up also included rudimentary maps that should help you with the (sometimes confusing) layout of the areas. Since the game is a series of 1-D rooms (i.e., the only directions you can go are left and right), these can help you if you get lost. Cakes (save points) are highlighted in orange. Items are in gold. Entrances/Exits to chapters are bolded. The symbols should match those seen on doors insofar as is possible.
Lastly, while the game has a pause feature, it is somewhat buggy. Some enemies (notably in chapters 2 and 3) may continue to move while the game is paused, so be wary.
Stage 2: Get the Other 2 Endings
Reload your save(s) from near the end of the game and collect the two endings that you missed. This will probably require you to play through all of Chapter 6 one or two more times (but the chapter should take less than five minutes to complete).Stage 3: Chapter 1 on Special Modes
Once you complete the main story for the first time, you'll gain access to higher difficulties and alternate game modes. Some of these are quite challenging, but the trophies for them are all about completing Chapter 1. Since you will need to complete Chapter 1 again, this is also a good time to pick up![gold gold](https://cdn.statically.io/img/psnprofiles.com/lib/img/icons/buttons/gold.png)

The first chapter of Clea serves as an introduction to the game's mechanics. Your goal is to get to the bottom floor of the building and to exit via the MT Door. To do so, you'll need to collect the Tootheless Key from the third floor, Metallic Piece (E) from the second floor, and Metallic Piece (T) from the first floor. Once collected, you can combine all three pieces to make a key that lets you pass through the MT Door. Once you do, the chapter will end.
Before you go through the ET Door, make sure to pick up Metallic Piece (L) as it will be required in the next chapter.

Chapter 2 revolves around a zodiac themed puzzle. When you enter the chapter, the first code is up on the wall behind you (Gemini Capricorn Leo). You'll need to enter that code, in that order, by pressing buttons under wall paintings of the zodiac symbols. This will unlock the Garden Key in the main room of the level (the one with the checkerboard floor). While doing so, make sure to also pick up the Toothless Blue Key from the Bathroom on the first floor of the "Zodiac Tower".
The Garden Key unlocks the Leaf Door in the main room of the level. Inside you'll find Metallic Piece (X) and a Green Door. Combine the Metallic Piece (L) (which you found in
Chapter 1) with the Toothless Blue Key and Metallic Piece (X) to produce the key to the LX Door. Beyond the Green Door are a Potion, an Arcane Candle, and the second zodiac code--partially obscured by some boxes (Virgo Pieces Libra). This code will unlock the Flower Key in the same room where you found the Garden Key. (Note: You don't actually need to see the second code to input it in the "Zodiac Tower". You can put in both codes before leaving the tower, but you do have to put them in one at a time.)
The Flower Key unlocks the Flower Door back in the
Chapter 1 section of the game. Entering the Flower Door starts one of the side quests that is necessary to unlock the "Good" ending. To complete the side quest, you'll need to:
Escort a Chaos Servant from the top of the "Zodiac Tower" to the first floor while avoiding all of the other maids. Once you go through the Paintbrush door, the side quest will end.
Note that--as with all of the side quests--you can't actually game over during it. If you're caught, you'll just be forced to start the side quest over. Once you complete the side quest, the Flower Room will contain an Upgrade Orb and a Cake.
You can now return to the LX Door and enter it to complete the chapter.

Chapter 3 Completed chapter 3. |
|
![]() |
Chapter 3 is, essentially, a teleporter maze. The paths through are non-euclidean, so you'll either need to construct a map yourself or use the guidance below. The teleporter maze is divided up into 5 sections: the section where you begin and 4 color-coded sections. You enter the chapter through the LX Door.
Since all rooms in Clea are (basically) 1-dimensional lines, the maps below show each room on a separate line, with dashes separating points of interest. Doors with the same symbol link to each other within the same section. Colored doors link between sections. When you enter the room with colored doors for the first time, an enemy will begin pursuing you. Unlike in the previous chapters, you cannot hide from this enemy and it will unrelentingly follow you regardless of where you go. The one exception is when going through the LX Door (back into the chapter 2 area). If you go there, the enemy will reset to its starting location.
To get through the maze, you need to collect the 4 color-coded keys, then exit through the door in the back of the final area.
A door-by-door solution is:
■, ●, (Pink Key), ▲, X, ! (aggro enemy), !, ★, Pink, ■, (Arcane Candle), ●, ★, !, (Red Key), ?, ★, Pink, Red, ●, (Purple Key), X, ■, ?, Purple, ●, (Potion), X, ▲, ◆, (Blue Key), ☾, ■, Purple, !, ■, Red, Blue, !, Exit
When you exit the teleporter maze, the chapter will end.

Chapter 4 Completed chapter 4. |

In this chapter, your first goal is to go into each of the numbered maid's rooms and to press the hexagonal switches in that room in order (I then II then III).
Here are all rooms in order:
Once you've pressed them all, a pedestal in the initial room will lower, giving the W Key. With the Ribbon Key and W Key, you can obtain the Cells Key from the top floor in the bathroom of the "Ribbon Room". The Cells Key opens the Double Door on the second floor. Going through the Double Doors completes the chapter.
Throughout this chapter, you'll be pursued by an invisible enemy. You'll need to rely on audio cues to detect and avoid it. When you hear the "heartbeat" sound, that means the enemy is in the same rooms as you are (this is also true for other chapters, but is more relevant when you can't see them). When you hear the heartbeat, change rooms or hide in a closet until it stops. Luckily, the invisible enemy's own vision range is fairly short, so as long as you aren't unlucky enough to walk straight into them, you can usually avoid them.

- IV Room - Switches I and II are behind the bedposts to the left of the entrance. I is behind the right post and II is behind the left post. III is all the way on the right side of the room, behind a potted plant.
- V Room - All three switches are under the table & chairs. From left to right, they are I then III then II. Additionally, to the right of this room's entrance is a hidden door. Enter it to find the Ribbon Key.

Chapter 5 Completed chapter 5. |

This chapter is somewhat reminiscent of Chapter 3. You'll be going through a maze of doors seeking out the colored keys to advance to the next area. As with Chapter 3, consider making a map or relying on the one below.
The basic flow of the chapter is to find the Cell Release Switch in each section which will open up the cell containing the key needed to advance to the next section. You'll go through this flow three times: for the purple, red, and blue cell keys. You can also (optionally) unlock the Master Key (Crown Key) for an optional side quest. However, when you press one of the Cell Release Switches, it will alert the Chaos Servant to rush to your location, thus making it necessary for you to find a closet to hide in.
The room by room solution for this chapter is:
☾, (Cell Release Switch), ☾, (Purple Cell Key) ★, Purple, ●, (Cell Release Switch), ●, ■, (Red Cell Key), (Potion), ■, ●, Red, (Arcane Candle), ◆, !, (Cell Release Switch), !, ◆, X, (Blue Cell Key), X, ▲, Blue, (Arcane Candle), Double Door
When you go through the Double Doors in the final room, the chapter will end.
In the final room of this chapter, there is another Cell Release Switch. This releases the switch containing the Master Key (Crown Key) in the room with the Red Door. If you take this key back into the area from the previous chapter, you can enter the Crown Door (next to the Ribbon Door) for a side quest. Completing all three side quests is necessary for the "Good" ending. However, you should MAKE A SEPARATE SAVE before beginning the side quest as completing all three side quests locks you out of the "Middle" ending.
The side quest places you on the top floor of the chapter 1 section (see
Chapter 1 for maps). You'll need to defeat a Chaos Servant on each floor by approaching them from behind to complete the side quest. After completing the side quest, you'll find an Upgrade Orb in the Crown Room. Additionally, there is an Arcane Candle past the Metal Door in the Crown Room.

Chapter 6 only directly contains one new room. As soon as you arrive, you'll discover the Courtyard key. It opens the golden double doors way back in the Chapter 2 section of the game. Your only goal for this chapter is to get from the room where you start back to those doors. Your only impediment is a new enemy: your mother. Luckily, as long as you don't run, you can walk all the way back once you've gotten past the enemy once. Use the maps in the previous sections if you don't remember the way.
Once you walk through the doors, the chapter will end.

Run, Clea! Completed chapter 1 in under 3 minutes. |
|
![]() |
Once you know the path through chapter 1, clearing it in under 3 minutes is actually a fairly generous allowance. There is no backtracking necessary and you only need to avoid the single Chaos Servant in the chapter.
Here's what you'll need to do to complete the chapter in time:
Assuming that you never run, you should complete the chapter in under 2 minutes. You should also complete all three medals (which will unlock the
Collector trophy if you didn't already have it).
Note that there is some degree of luck involved in this approach since the Chaos Servant may randomly go in the wrong direction. If you get grabbed, just choose the "Restart" option to begin the game from the beginning--which automatically skips the intro cutscene and resets the timer. Finally, you can see your current time in the pause menu under the "Medals" screen.

- Go left and pick up the Toothless Key
- Continue left to the door to the second floor

The first 5 chapters of the game each include 3 bonus objectives that unlock "Medals". To unlock this trophy, you must complete any single medal. Note that you cannot earn medals on "Light" difficulty, so this trophy cannot be unlocked on that difficulty either.
There are many of these medals that are fairly trivial to obtain. Chapter 2's Silver Medal or Chapter 4's Bronze Medal (don't press a wrong switch) should happen naturally (especially if you're following the walkthrough). Similarly, Chapter 2's Bronze and Chapter 4's Silver (don't flush a toilet) can be done without too much effort (since using the toilets to distract enemies is never necessary for clearing a chapter).
If you manage to complete the game without completing any, following the walkthrough for
Run, Clea! should earn you Chapter 1's Gold Medal (and probably the rest).

War Maiden mode becomes available after you complete the game for the first time. In War Maiden mode, the game becomes somewhat cruel. The soundtrack will be randomly replaced with unintelligible whispers--thus making it impossible for you to hear what enemies are doing. You'll randomly be unable to peak through doors or hear sounds beyond them. The enemies themselves seem to be more likely to stroll to wherever you are hiding.
Luckily, you only have to complete Chapter 1 on this mode. The
Run, Clea! trophy has the minimum set of steps necessary to clear the chapter. In addition to that, make sure to pick up the Arcane Candle to the left of where you start and the one in the bathroom (Green Door) on the floor below where you start. If the Chaos Servant harasses you, go into the inventory and use one to drive it off. You're not actually trying to beat the game, so feel free to be wasteful. The Servant rarely goes to the third floor, so you've got two candles and two floors to get through.
