Necessary?[]

I'm frankly having a hard time thinking why exactly this subcategory exists. It simply confuses me because it a) does not explain what "position" means (instead, it expects you to read an external link that still does the job poorly), b) it makes me think of ship positions like Navigator and Doctor (but that does not seem to be the case) and c) some of the categories do not seem to fit at all. Like, how are bartenders and shopkeepers "positions"?

This category should simply be culled. it adds nothing at all. Those are merely occupations, so an occupations subcategory should be enough. KingCannon (talk) 00:39, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

It may not be the right name for it but these are more than just occupations these are categories of people with authority. Items under bartenders and shopkeepers may not all be managers but they don't have to be under said category. Members of a ship outside officer-class are not included. If it's not the right name for it, then that's enough reason to cull it. It adds nothing but confusion.

Just having those items under occupations should be enough. It's simple and straightforward. This is merely adding a subcategory for the sake of adding a subcategory and doesn't improve the wiki in anyway. KingCannon (talk) 21:41, 11 January 2022 (UTC)

Whether you like it or not these are more than just occupations so a subcategory may not have been the best move but this still should be a category. Rgilbert27 (talk) 04:43, 12 January 2022 (UTC)

While users may not like it, there are a number of characters leading groups like Crocodile of Baroque Works, Dragon of the Revolutionary Army and Koza of the Arabasta Rebel Army? Can there be a category for these characters and others who fall under said requirements? Rgilbert27 (talk) 21:19, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
