Problem not resolved

I had an unpaid invoice and requested a 2-day extension for its payment because I received a notification that my server would be deactivated if I didn't respond. I sent an email on the first day, but I didn't receive a reply. Then, I requested to speak with a representative through chat. The representative informed me that they were extending the payment time:

"Iqra from Cloudways: I would like to inform you that based on your good billing history and considering the pain that you may face due to service interruption, we have provided you with the exemption. However, please make sure to do the payment by the agreed date to avoid any service inconvenience."

I thanked them and gave a good rating. A few hours later, I received this message:

"Because we haven’t heard from you yet, we’ve stopped your servers. The next step will be to delete them within 48 hours, and cancel your current subscription plans along with any paid add-ons."

Consistently good service and…

Consistently good service and experience over the last 4+ years. We have over 1000 sites managed with Cloudways across a large number of servers. Support is always incredibly responsive, friendly and efficient!

At first I was apprehensive about Cloudways' locked down platform, but anytime I ask for support help, they always fulfill the request, help me quickly, fix any sites that have issues, and do it with promptness and a great attitude.

I wanted to share my positive…

I wanted to share my positive experience with your support team regarding my recent account issue. I faced a bank problem that prevented me from making a payment on time, and the support team responded promptly and empathetically to my situation.

Their willingness to provide a temporary exemption based on my billing history was greatly appreciated. This gesture not only resolved my immediate concern but also reinforced my trust in Cloudways as a reliable and customer-focused service provider.

very amazing experience with cloudways…

very amazing experience with cloudways specially for the support team .. i had some teach problem after migrating from blogvualt to cloudways and i contacted the support .. Muhammad Naeem ... from cloudways support team helped me so much to complete and fixed all my websites errors and everything is running super good .. really thank you so much from all my heart for your time and everything to keep my websites running

Best UI, Friendly Support, Great Experience Overall

I tried AWS, Azure, Vultr, and several other cloud providers for enterprise WordPress hosting. Cloudways is the king. It has the best UI/UX, is easy to navigate, and offers friendly and fast support. Overall, it was a great experience without a single problem

Stay far away from this

Stay far away from this. I had cloned 2 servers with 400 applications. First mistake was already that I was confirmed twice that ALL servers settings, including custom settings of the suppport were copied. This turned out not to be the case. After modifying 400 domains/dns records (spending 12 hours, my whole saturday). And today I deleted the original servers. Then the clones were deleted along with them. Support could not fix it and offered new ips. So again 400 domain names manually updated. Now again 12 hours to go. I will move away from cloudways. Have spend more als 50.000 usd by this company. Time to left now.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS. This is no longer the cloudways of 3-4 years ago.

The support department is amazing

The support department is extremely responsive, and the technical teams are top-notch! They were able to help us with server cloning, migration and billing assistance.
We are extremely satisfied with the cloudways team.

Absolutely fantastic hosting service…

Absolutely fantastic hosting service with unbeatable customer support. While it's true this host may be a little more technically involved to set up, it is well worth it in my opinion, and the support staff are very knowledgeable and always patient and helpful!

Ditched Plesk for Cloudways not looking back

Moving away from the nightmare of administration that is plesk, I found cloudways. The host has been great, easy auto WP migration to them, easy admin, built in varnish and caching, bot protection. Easy staging management push/pull.

If I had to pick the back up could be better- I have to manually dl each website vs dl the whole server when I run a backup. Their fully "autonomous" (WP auto upd) offering is not great, its too expensive and lacks options that their "flexible" (self managed) has.

New Relic integration is nice too.

Probably the best support I've ever…

Probably the best support I've ever encountered. I don't have the highest tier support, pretty sure we're at standard right now but, they have an amazing support team without the high tier. My one complaint is that you don't have sudo permissions on the server level which makes sense but, is annoying having to bug them whenever you need something. They are awesome and very helpful!

Went above and beyond!

Went above and beyond!

Our website went down and we have no web developer. I contacted Cloudways and they worked with me to understand what went wrong. When the fix was beyond my capabilities, they helped me go step by step, doing things I could never have done on my own.

Our website was fixed within the hour, thanks to Asadullah!

Cloudways is a service you should avoid…


Cloudways is a service you should avoid at all costs. Their customer service is beyond terrible; they are complete amateurs who will not provide any meaningful assistance. I encountered numerous issues that their so-called support team failed to resolve. The billing department is equally unresponsive and dismissive of customer concerns.

I experienced a significant data loss due to their incompetent management. My backup was lost, and my database was inexplicably deleted. When I reached out to them for help, they offered no solutions. Instead, they told me I needed my own backup to restore my website. This level of negligence is unacceptable for any hosting provider. Their servers are weak and unprotected, which puts your data at constant risk.

My attempts to get answers about why my database was deleted were met with infuriatingly repetitive responses. They kept telling me they didn't know what happened and asked if I had an old backup on my computer. This shows a complete lack of responsibility and technical expertise on their part. When I asked for a refund due to their failure, they refused.

Frustrated, I decided to switch to DigitalOcean, which has been a significantly better experience. I highly recommend you bypass Cloudways entirely and go directly to a reliable provider like DigitalOcean. Cloudways is just a middleman that adds unnecessary complexity and cost to your hosting needs.

They offer nothing but headaches and extra expenses. Every little feature, like email hosting, comes with an additional charge. This nickel-and-diming approach makes their service even less appealing. Dealing directly with hosting companies is always a better option. Cloudways’ servers are also incredibly slow, and the only way to get decent performance is to upgrade at a steep price.

Moreover, Cloudways does not support many programming languages such as Go and Python. This means that applications relying on these languages will not work on their servers.

The worst part of my experience was the impact on my business. My website was down due to Cloudways' poor security that "My Database got deleted" , causing me to lose significant traffic and search rankings. All the customizations and developments I paid for on my e-commerce website went down the drain. The downtime not only cost me financially but also hurt my business reputation. You definitely don’t want to go through the same misery.

Save yourself the hassle, the frustration, and the money. Avoid Cloudways at all prices. Choose a reputable hosting provider that can guarantee reliability, security, and competent customer service. Your online presence and business deserve better than the subpar service Cloudways provides. Make the smart choice and stay far away from Cloudways.
