Krafton India CEO Is Now the Vice President of Indian Digital Gaming Society - Esports

The Indian Gaming Digital Society has appointed a brand-new vice president, and it is none other than the CEO of Krafton India, Sean Hyunil Sohn. Sohn being appointed as the vice president of IDGS was announced yesterday through an Instagram post by India Gaming Show.

The Indian Digital Gaming Society or IDGS is a non-profit umbrella organisation that consists of several stakeholders. It was formed under the Confederation of Indian Industry or CII in 2018 and since then it has been a “proactive advocate, promoter, and facilitator for the development of a healthy gaming ecosystem and the promotion of responsible gaming in India.” IGDS is known for organising India Gaming Shows, gaming conferences, taking part in gaming sessions along with publishing newsletters and reports.

India Gaming Show 2024 took place recently, on March 14, 2024 at the Messe Global Laxmi Lawns in Pune, India. During the 3-day event we saw several gaming exhibits from the likes of PlayStation, OnePlus, Krafton, Samsung, and more, esports tournaments that were hosted by Nodwin Gaming and Skyesports, varying booths, conferences, and panels featuring industry experts and much more.

“It's an honor to be entrusted with this role, and I'm excited to contribute to the growth and development of the gaming community,” said Sohn on his appointment as the VC of IDGS. “IDGS has always been at the forefront of creating bigger and better opportunities for the gaming industry and at KRAFTON we are deeply committed to further bolster the ecosystem. This opportunity will provide an impetus to our endeavour.”

“I thank CII, IDGS and my amazing team at KRAFTON India for their support and encouragement. We will continue pushing boundaries and elevate the gaming industry together.”
