NESC 2024: ESFI Opens Registrations for the Esports Competition; Will Include Games Like CS2, Dota 2 and eFootball

NESC 2024: ESFI Opens Registrations for the Esports Competition

The National Esports Championships 2024 will be commencing soon and ahead of that, the Esports Federation of India has opened the registrations for the competitions. This is an important esports tournament as it will pave the way for athletes to take part in the 16th World Esports Championship, which is scheduled to be hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Through NESC 2023, gamers in India will have the chance to show abilities across games like Dota 2, eFootball and Counter-Strike 2. Dota 2 and eFootball will be open competitions, and CS 2 will have open and female categories. The players that manage to win in this round will move on to regional qualifiers and battle it out with other Asian countries to secure a spot in the WEC 2024 finals.

Interested players will be able to register for NESC 2024 now and the registrations will close on April 15, all details are available on their Discord server. Post this date, the online qualifiers for all the games will begin on April 18 and will take place in a double-elimination format. The Championship phase of the competition will be streamed live on the official YouTube channel and Facebook page of ESFI.

WEC 2024 is being organised by the International Esports Federation, where we will see a total of 609 from countries across the world battle it out through 5 games Counter Strike 2 (Open and Female), Dota2, eFootball series, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (Open and Female), and PUBG Mobile. WEC 2024 will commence on November 11 and feature a prize pool of $1 million that will be shared amongst the top 8 teams across all games and categories.

Last year, we hosted the country's inaugural female CS: GO qualifiers, where the winning team made it to the Asian qualifiers. This time, we anticipate even greater achievements from our country’s talented female athletes. Overall, we are looking forward to witnessing the talent and passion of all Esports players throughout the qualifiers.”
