Description

This is an infobox for articles whose topics are characters, always present at the top of a page. It is accompanied by the {{Navbox Characters}} navigation template.

Syntax

{{Infobox Character
| name = | image = | kanji = | romaji = | alias =

| race = | gender = | age = | height = | weight = | blood type = | origin =
| birthday = | eye color = | hobbies = | likes = | dislikes =

| relatives = | occupation = | affiliation =
| weapon = | title = | type = | easy =

| game = | novel = | drama cd = | manga =
| japanese voice = | english voice = | korean voice =

| gameplay = | commands = | quotes = | gallery =
}}

Usage

Although this template is placed right at the very top of a page, it should preceded by (in this order, should any be appliable): a disambiguating hatnote, a mbox notice, and a opening quote.

As for the contents of each parameter: First, leave it blank if there is no info about it. Most are intuitive (or at least, if an editor cares to look for the many examples where this template is used), but some have specific formats to follow:

  • In general, a clarifying tag (such as a game abbreviation) must use be inside a {{c}} template. This applies to the age, affiliation, relatives, etc.
  • The tag "(formerly)" is used for backstory info, previous to the original Guilty Gear.
  • In alias, alternate names are listed as such: official localization, then {{j}} containing kanji/katakana and rōmaji. No links are allowed.
  • Original height/weight values in cm/kg, then the official conversion to in/lbs in parenthesis.
  • The last four parameters (gameplay, commands, quotes, gallery) are filled with "true" if the character has—or should have—any of those subpages.

Note that, for non-playable characters, the parameters height, weight, blood type, birthday, hobbies, likes, dislikes, title, type, and easy are omitted, and should not appear written in their articles (even if they will not show up because they are empty).
