Neo New York is a major city in the United States of America as well as Sol Badguy's battle stage in the Xrd games. Based on the original New York City that was destroyed during the Crusades, the city has a replica of its famous commercial intersection, which appears as a stage in Guilty Gear -Strive- as Original Times Square, where it is the default stage of Giovanna and Elphelt.
Design[]
The Neo New York stage is located in a cliff, fenced off with barbed wire. A western-styled building in visible in the far right, where a rotund sheriff can be seem enjoying a bag of burgers in the first few rounds, and cheering/egging on the fight in the later ones (after he gets startled and finally starts to notice).
Assorted barrels and wheels can be seem laying around in the center, and clockwork-styled structures can be seem in the horizon, adorning a wasteland. In -Sign-, the stage was set at daytime, with the Statue of Liberty visible in the immediate background. In -Revelator-, the stage is now at sunset and the statue is gone.
Story[]
After the city of New York was completely destroyed during the Crusades, the U.S. government built a new port city on the northerneast coast. It was intended to recall the glory of the old New York, and even included the Statue of Liberty, but progress stalled as funds were diverted elsewhere, and at the moment it is somewhat deserted.[1]

- There is a sheriff who resembles Goldlewis Dickinson, who later reveals to be his older brother and shares loves for fast foods, such as burgers.
Allusions[]
- In Stage B of Strive, Polar Star Coffee is a mix parody between Shirokuma Cafe and Starbucks Coffee.
- Hidden on the street of Original Times Square in Strive is a list of names, most of which are references to metal albums and drummers. They can be seen when the camera angle shifts to show the street, such as at the start of Potemkin Buster when used over them.
- "??? SHIRIANNA" - possibly a reference to the Shiriana, an indigenous tribe to northern Brazil (the homeland of Giovanna, who was the only member of the base roster to use Times Square as her default stage).
- "??? KOLLIAS" - George Kollias, drummer of the death metal band Nile.
- "From Chaos to Infinity" - a combination of From Chaos to Eternity by Rhapsody of Fire and Ascending to Infinity by Rhapsody.
- The former was Rhapsody of Fire's final album with Luca Turilli as their lead guitarist and composer, and the latter was Turilli's first album after creating Rhapsody.
- "Gee PORTNOY" - a combination of Gee Anzalone, drummer of DragonForce, and Mike Portnoy, the drummer of Dream Theater.
- "Sam ANZALONE" - a combination of Sam Totman and Gee Anzalone, the guitarist and drummer of DragonForce respectively.
- "The Nature of the Chimaki" - a combination of the album The Nature of the Beast by Impelliteri, and Chimaki.
