Ayla is a Settler of Foundation and the girlfriend of Frankie Beckett.

Background[]

Ayla and her mother were among the settlers who came to Appalachia in 2103, settling down at Foundation. She met Frankie after he was left at the Settler town by his brother Beckett, and the pair quickly became romantically involved, unbeknownst to Beckett.[1] Hearing rumors of treasure in the region, Ayla went searching for gold in the hopes of buying a Vault-Tec C.A.M.P. and setting up a farm with Frankie. She also hoped they could convince Beckett to leave the Blood Eagles and join them, possibly even helping him set up his dream bar at their prospective farm. Ayla is also familiar with Grahm, who promised he would stop by her farm if she managed to get one started.[2]

When Beckett travels to Foundation in search of Frankie, he finds a holotape recorded by Ayla. However, he is unable to find her, and concludes that she was kidnapped by the Blood Eagles as leverage against Frankie.[3] In truth, she simply went into hiding to escape the Eagles. After dealing with the Claw, Beckett manages to find her and explains Frankie's fate to her. If Frankie is dead, Beckett will inform Ayla about it, sending her some caps to try to smooth things over.[4] If Frankie became a merchant, Beckett will tell Ayla that he is currently staying at Ronny's camp, though it would be dangerous for her to visit him. Once Frankie is better, Beckett is sure he will visit Ayla at Foundation.[5]

Appearances[]

Ayla is mentioned in Fallout 76, introduced in the Wastelanders update.

  3. ↑ Vault Dweller: "Did you find his girlfriend?"
Beckett: "No. Just the holotape. I think maybe they kidnapped her to get to him. That's what they do. That's what they're doing to me right now."
    (Beckett's dialogue)
  4. ↑ Vault Dweller: "What about Frankie's girlfriend?"
Beckett: "Well, good thing is, she hadn't been kidnapped by the Blood Eagles like I'd suspected. She had actually gone into hiding. I sent her word about Frankie's death... and I kicked a few caps her way to try and smooth things over. Don't look at me like that. I might have been a raider for years, but I'm not a heartless asshole."

  5. ↑ Vault Dweller: "What about Frankie's girlfriend?"
Beckett: "Well, good thing is, she hadn't been kidnapped by the Blood Eagles like I suspected. She had actually gone into hiding. I sent her word that Frankie's okay. Can't exactly let her visit Ronny's camp... it isn't safe for someone not in the gang. Once he's back on his feet, I'm sure he'll return to visit her at Foundation."
    (Beckett's dialogue)
