"Answer to Drivin' Nails in My Coffin" is a song broadcast on Appalachia Radio in Fallout 76. It was written and recorded by Jerry Irby and his Texas Ranchers, and was released in March 1947. The song is in reference to and acts as a response to the song "Drivin' Nails in My Coffin" also by Irby.

Lyrics[]

I am sorry I left you my darlin'
But I'll try and make it up to you
Cause you're drivin' nails in your coffin
Every time you drink a bottle of brew

You can stop drivin' nails in your coffin
You don't ever have to drink that old brew
You can stop drivin' nails in your coffin
Cause my darling I'm comin' back to you

Now I found that I love you my darling
And I just can't live without you
But if you wouldn't take me back my darling
I would start driving nails the same as you

You can stop drivin' nails in your coffin
You don't ever have to drink that old brew
You can stop drivin' nails in your coffin
Cause my darlin' I'm comin' back to you

When I walked out and left you, I never
Realized just what you meant to me
But since the day that we parted
All my life is filled with misery

You can stop drivin' nails in your coffin
You don't ever have to drink that old brew
You can stop drivin' nails in your coffin
Cause my darlin' I'm comin' back to you
