So I've been playing FFXIV:A Realm Reborn since launch and have finally managed to get a crafter melding Materia. It's kinda cool as I can upgrade both what I'm wearing and what I'm selling in the markets with my retainers. I like this part of the game. It allows me to slow the game down and really get into it and enjoy.

If anyone wants/needs melding for the next few days, I need the experience so am willing to meld for +1 earth/wind/lightning shard if you have the materials, and +5 earth/wind/lightning shards if you don't. I reside on Lamia for now and do a lot of hanging around Ul'dah.
