Versailles in the Paris task force?[edit]
Hi there hello, so I just spontaneously joined the Paris task force and got into tagging "Paris-related" articles, but I wonder whether or not articles that are "Versailles-related" should be tagged and improved as well. I'd be happy if anybody'd give me the answer to that. Update: I'll just tag the "Versailles-related" ones, just tell me if I shouldn't :) - CarolingianCitizen (talk) 10:02, 7 August 2022 (CET)

Hello, |
Need photos of Villa Windsor[edit]
I have made some updates to this article, but Villa Windsor is lacking photos. Can any locals help? I can't find any public domain photos of the house online. Marincyclist (talk) 23:19, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
ambiguity of hyphenated toponyms[edit]
Are French places like Vic-sur-Aisne or Vic-en-Bigorre recognizable as just Vic? Would appreciate some help from people in the know, at Talk:Vic#French places. TIA. --Joy (talk) 14:22, 19 June 2024 (UTC)

Regionalist political parties[edit]
Various articles for constituencies in the 2024 French legislative election (see this list) have links to regionalist parties. These all link to Regionalism (a disambiguation page). I am trying to work out whether they should link to Regionalism (politics) or whether there are specific party links these should point to?
Anyhelp with sorting these would be appreciated.— Rod talk 17:15, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Rodw: I can answer this one – ideally they should be linking to political parties (and using the appropriate party color parameter) where possible, but tracking that information down can be extremely tedious because it's not officially documented by the Ministry of Interior, the authoritative source for election results, which instead groups candidates under "nuances" (categories which correspond more to ideology than party, in the case of for candidates not belonging to a major party/alliance) including regionalists. It's easiest to defer to the French-language version of those articles and copy any citations from there as necessary. 73.169.176.209 (talk) 01:21, 2 July 2024 (UTC)
Article needed: Les Veilleurs[edit]
French Wikipedia has an article on Les Veilleurs (lit. 'Watchers'; or 'Sentinels') which is a French conservative movement with anti-lgbt goals similar to La Manif pour Tous. It's definitely a notable topic, and we ought to have an article on it. The French article is well sourced, and appears to be well organized and written. Mathglot (talk) 02:23, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- I do see that either the redirect should be deleted or the organization should be described in the article it currently redirects to. ~Maplestrip/Mable (chat) 11:36, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
2024 French legislative election discussions[edit]
Bumping this talk page on people's watchlists to bring a couple discussions regarding the 2024 French legislative election to other editors' attention. Given that we're in the period between the two rounds before this article could be potentially featured on WP:ITN/C within a week or so depending on the results, it would be great to get other views from editors in this space in order to reach a consensus on either or both of them before then. The two sections in question are here:
- Talk:2024 French legislative election#Leader of Ensemble in the infobox
- Talk:2024 French legislative election#Usefulness of triangulaires/quadrangulaires table

Lille and History of Lille[edit]
We've just had History of Lille, a translation from fr-wiki, come through AfC. The article on Lille itself already had a fair bit of history, but the newly translated article was too extensive to add to the main article on the city. If anyone here is looking for a mid-sized job to do, it would be helpful to consolidate the two so that we have the detailed history on History of Lille and a summary of it on the Lille article itself. -- asilvering (talk) 13:32, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
