The first season of the American science fiction television series Star Trek: Voyager commenced with the launch of UPN on January 16, 1995, and concluded on May 22, 1995, after airing 16 episodes. Set in the 24th century, the series follows the adventures of the Starfleet and Maquis crew of the starship USS Voyager after they were stranded in the Delta Quadrant, far from the rest of the Federation.

Star Trek: Voyager premiered following the conclusion of Star Trek: The Next Generation the previous year, and ran alongside the third season. of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Four episodes originally filmed for the season ("Projections", "Elogium", "Twisted", and "The 37's") were held back to air as part of the second season.[1]
