One in every 10 CXOs changed jobs in the year ending June, with certain roles experiencing higher turnover than others, according to an analysis by specialist staffing firm Xpheno. The study, based on 37,000 C-suite movements, found that the roles of chief human resources officer (CHRO) saw the highest churn at 20%, followed by chief sales officers (CSOs) at 18% and chief product officers (CPOs) at 15%.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced plans to fill 35,000 government vacancies by April 2025. This includes positions in the police force, grade 3 and grade 4 roles within the state government, and teacher positions. Recruitment processes will be conducted transparently, with grade 3 and grade 4 exams scheduled in stages from September onwards. Police recruitment will begin in October, and notifications for teacher positions will follow soon. Physical tests for over 6,400 Assam Police posts start from October 3, while preliminary exams for grade 3 and grade 4 roles are set for September and October.
The recruitment drive is for posts of constables, drivers, band men, SRPF personnel and jail staff, the official said. "For 9,595 constable posts, we have got 8,22,984 applications, while for 1,686 constable driver posts, we have received 1,98,300 applications. For 1800 prison constable posts, 3,72,354 applications have been received. We have received 101 applications for each post, while it is 206 per post in the prison department," he said.
