My Honest 7-Year Experience With DreamHost

I've worked with DreamHost on and off for about 7 years now. Overall, my experience has been really good! There are occasional errors or downtime, which go hand-in-hand with hosting options for the little guy, but their team is quick to handle issues when they pop up. Any time I've had to reach out to their support team to handle issues or ask questions, they've always been very helpful and the issue gets resolved quickly.

Happy with DreamHost

I've been using DreamHost for a little over a year and the experience has been positive overall. There have been a few hiccups, but they've been resolved quickly. A very good deal for the hosting they provide. I have the Shared Unlimited plan which has been more than enough to cover my relatively heavy usage.

I am using this server from 2012. None if the service provider would assist like dreamhost. Very specifically their live chat support, every one are sound technical knowledgeable

Really there to help resolve issues, however small.

Sometimes having the idea of a website, designing, even pulling it together can have challenges but hosting and moving domains and connecting them up correctly can be hair-pulling. The DreamHost team were there to help and made it 'almost' bearable. Thank you guys you really do help us numpties look professional.

Great service, reasonable prices, customer service is excellent.

Been with them about 2 years now. Excellent service and pricing, only ever had a minor issue with them and it was resolved immediately and not really their fault in the first place. Been very happy with their hosting service in comparison some other hosts I've used in the past which are difficult to deal with.

Dreamhost has great chat support

Dreamhost has always been helpful with WordPress site issues, from plugin conflicts/crashes to figuring out issues in trying to update PHP. Their chat support has never failed to help me to deal with issues great and small over the years our organization have used them for hosting. I can't recommend Dreamhost enough, not only for hosting, but for its excellent and timely support for clients.

Dreamhost is, well, a dream host. I really appreciate their customer service and sense of urgency when I hit the wall with a problem. Always helpful, always quick and always focused on helping. It's a good thing.

A to Z Easy

The plan prices caught my attention but it was the service that kept me as their customer. They were easy to contact, communicate with, and get my point across. I purchased a domain name but never had the opportunity to use it. I’m not very tech savvy but they made it so easy to deal with. Once I get my stuff together, I will be contacting them again. You guys were amazing. Thank you.

There was a bit of miscommunication…

There was a bit of miscommunication that could have resulted in a disaster for me. They quickly identified the issue and helped me resolve it, There was no loss of data and a minimal loss of site availability. I have used them for several years and they are always excellent.

Some communication problems here

Some communication problems here. I asked specifically that my portfolio be transferred to my site. Several times.
They transferred over something that included perhaps 6 listings out of several hundred. And told me it was the best they could do. That took them several weeks. Whether that's policy or ability, I don't know, but I had to pay another service to have it transferred over properly. It took that person less than 3 hours.
I feel lied to and shoved around by the whole experience. I would never recommend your help.
Do what you say. Say what you do. Don't mislead people.

A gold standard for customer service

I have been hosting with Dreamhost for nearly 15 years. Their customer service has consistently been on target and relevant. The customer service folks research the issue before responding. Rarely has a ticket required more than one iteration. Well done folks

Their hosting packages and servers are…

Their hosting packages and servers are fantastic as we have "never" had any downtime on our database website in more than 10 years! Customer Services and Tech Support have always been extremely responsive and helped explain things we should have known (ftp, etc.) Pricing is great too. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

Tech support is excellent

Tech support is excellent. Your company has workers who understand the American dialect of English, it makes the support much smoother. I am in the process of leaving Hostgator over their lack of decent customer support, have been a customer for almost 14 years; my experience with dreamhost has convinced me to move!
