The Staff of Command was a^[2] crooked walking stick carved from the tusk of an indigenous behemoth of Geonosis^[1] that served as a symbol of office amongst the Geonosians. During the Clone Wars, Archduke Poggle the Lesser used the Staff of Command,^[2] carrying it with him throughout the war until he was assassinated by Darth Vader on Mustafar. During the massacre of the leaders, Poggle unsuccessfully tried to use the staff to defend himself. Vader slashed through it with his lightsaber and killed Poggle, destroying the staff in the process.^[3]
