"Just be sure to pay in cash. The interest on his loans will drain you like a Deluvian fatworm on a Hutt's backside."
"First off, Hutts are ALL backside. Secondly, I don't much like the comparison. No need to get personal. It's just business."
―Matton Dasol, to Revan, and Eli Gand[1]

The Deluvian fatworm was a type of worm[1] that hailed from[3] the Deluvia system, a part of the Outer Rim Territories' Klina sector[2] that was situated close to Hutt Space.[4] It led a parasitic lifestyle, attaching itself to the back of members of the sentient Hutt species.[1]

This section of the article assumes 100% game completion of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Any alternate stories may be noted in the "Behind the scenes" section. The events in this section may or may not have been confirmed as canon within the Star Wars Legends continuity.

In 3956 BBY,[5] Jedi Padawan Revan visited[1] the Mid Rim[6] planet Kashyyyk. There,[1] he[6] met the merchant Eli Gand and his indentured servant Matton Dasol. When Gand attempted to interest Revan in his wares, Dasol warned the latter that the interest rates of the former's loans would "drain" him in a manner comparable to a Deluvian fatworm parasiting on the back of a Hutt. In response, Gand, who took offense at the comparison, claimed that the Hutts were, in fact, "ALL backside."[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The Deluvian fatworm was introduced in the 2003 BioWare video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. In the game, the creature can be mentioned in an optional conversation the player character, Revan, can have with Eli Gand and Matton Dasol. This article assumes one hundred percent game completion and that the conversation took place as described.[1]
