When does Zenless Zone Zero release?

Based on the information from the trailers, Zenless Zone Zero will be released sometime in 2024. Given that the year has already started, it will likely debut in the latter half.

Several beta events have come and gone, including a recent Amplifying Test. With more of these betas rolling out, the release date for Zenless Zone Zero shouldn’t be too far off. You can also sign up on the game’s official page to keep track of the latest information and participate in the tests.

In Zenless Zone Zero, you’ll take on the role of a Proxy, fighters who have the power to travel to different universes. Many worlds have been corrupted by the natural disaster known as the Hollows, and it’s up to the Proxies to put an end to it. Fortunately, you won’t have to go at it alone, thanks to the help of multiple factions.

After a long day taking down mech enemies, the Proxies can kick back and relax at New Eridu. There are plenty of characters to meet here, allowing you to dig deeper into the game’s immersive lore.

What platforms will Zenless Zone Zero be on?

Zenless Zone Zero will be available on PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android. Although the game initially only featured PC and mobile, the PlayStation State of Play 2024 revealed that it is in development for this system. This could mean the PS5 version may launch later, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

The minimum and recommended specs have not been disclosed; however, beta tests have provided some information. From the looks of it, the game won’t require a top-tier PC or too much RAM space for mobile. However, the details from the betas don’t display the final version, so we’ll have to wait for more concrete information.

As for Xbox, Zenless Zone Zero will not be available for this console anytime soon. Other miHoYo entries, like Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd, have not made it onto this platform, so it’s highly unlikely for an Xbox debut.

Zenless Zone Zero trailers

HoYoverse first announced Zenless Zone Zero with the Welcome to New Eridu trailer. The video depicts several characters from the various factions, including Billy Kid, Ben Bigger, and Hoshimi Miyabi. It also gives us a sneak peek into the last metropolis of the world, New Eridu.

Not long after Zenless Zone Zero’s official announcement, the Summer Game Fest 2022 unveiled the World Premiere trailer. It dives into epic battles against the mech beasts, presenting more of the characters’ unique fighting styles.

Most Zenless Zone Zero trailers are relatively short, but the Gamescom 2023 showcase sheds more light on what it has to offer. It’s one of the first times we get to see its gameplay in its entirety, featuring the peaceful life of New Eridu and the more fast-paced side of its combat.

Is Zenless Zone Zero open world?

While there are many universes to explore, Zenless Zone Zero is not an open-world game. At most, you can venture around New Eridu, but outside of that, the Hollows are strictly for available missions.

It may come as a surprise to hear that Zenless Zone Zero isn’t an open world, since Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves present these explorative features. Nevertheless, it doesn’t seem like the game will have this element anytime soon.

Is Zenless Zone Zero free?

Like many miHoYo games, Zenless Zone Zero will be free to play. However, it is still a gacha due to its in-game purchases. These products typically unlock new characters, items, and weapons, as we’ve seen with Genshin Impact. You’re more than welcome to avoid these purchases since miHoYo often provides free content during launches or special events.
