XDefiant‘s road to release could be described as “rocky.” After some successful tests in 2023, Ubisoft delayed the game twice, leaving many wondering if the first-person shooter would ever drop. Thankfully, after a successful server test session in April 2024, we finally got an official release date.

Set up to be a Call of Duty competitor, XDefiant will launch with 14 maps, 24 weapons, and five modes, with more expected to be added in updates in the future. Here’s when you can get your first taste of XDefiant‘s full release.

XDefiant release date

XDefiant will be released on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

The game will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with Year One of the game’s roadmap set to include four seasons, 12 additional weapons, and 12 new maps for players to compete on.

XDefiant release time: Countdown

If you want to know how long you have to wait for XDefiant, then we’ve created the countdown timer below, which will tick down every second so you can check how far away the game’s launch is.

Unfortunately, Ubisoft hasn’t given us an exact release time just yet. With that in mind, we’ve set the countdown timer for midnight EST on May 21 and will update this when we get a time from the publisher.

Stay tuned to Destructoid as we get closer to XDefiant, as we’ll be covering the game post-launch with the best guns and classes.
