Confirmed Dead

Scorpion – The first kill seen in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is Scorpion. The green-armored villain was abducted during a prisoner transport earlier in the story. While investigating one of the larger Hunter bases in New York City, Peter finds a video of Kraven murdering Scorpion with his own stinger.

Kraven – Kraven’s entire deal in this universe is essentially assisted suicide. The hunter can’t stomach the idea of a disease killing him. Instead, he kidnaps powerful individuals and forces them to fight him to the death. Ultimately, he gets what he wants when he targets Venom and the symbiote literally bites his head off in Times Square.

Kraven’s Family – As Miles and Peter clear out the various Hunter camps around NYC, they’ll uncover recorded calls between Kraven and his family. It turns out he was also a hot pile of garbage when it came to being a husband and father. By the time the last camp is cleared, it’s revealed that Kraven’s wife and three children have all killed one another.

Howard – If you’ve played through the first Marvel’s Spider-Man and then Miles Morales, then you should be plenty familiar with Howard. He tasked the web-slingers with tracking down his missing pigeons. In an emotionally devastating mission, he asks the Spider-Men to find a new home for his birds. After doing so, we return to find that Howard has passed away.

Suspected Dead

Vulture – As Mary Jane sneaks around the zoo in New Jersey, she comes across the Vulture’s wings and a recording from Kraven commenting on the villain. She immediately proclaims he’s dead and, while it’s likely, without a body, I can’t definitively count it.

Shocker – The Shocker’s vest is found in the same zoo by MJ. Again, it appears the hunters are studying the tech of the likely fallen villain. It’s not too shocking a move if Insomniac decided to kill off three B-tier villains, but without the kill being on screen, I can’t count it.

Shriek – There’s something fishy about MJ and her connection to these suspected dead villains. After Venom infects MJ with the Shriek symbiote, Peter and his girlfriend work out several issues while destroying their neighborhood in the process. At the end of it, MJ is able to strip away the symbiote which just kind of disappears? It’s super confusing as symbiotes don’t immediately die without a host. As such, I’m not counting this.

Kind of Dead

The Venom Symbiote – When it’s all said and done, Peter “cures” Harry Osborne of the Venom symbiote through his Anti-Venom powers. This leaves Harry in a coma. However, it had already been established that parts of the symbiote can live on in a former host. Since Harry had been bonded with Venom for potentially years at this point, it’s likely the symbiote is lying dormant and waiting for Papa Norman to inject some of that Goblin Serum into Harry.
