Where to find the money pit in the Freelancer compound in Hitman World of Assassination

Burn it all.

The money pit is possibly the best item you can set up in Agent 47’s compound in Hitman World of Assassination‘s Freelancer mode. While it’s only a cosmetic addition to the location and doesn’t give you any items you can take into missions, it does allow you to make Agent 47 look completely unhinged.

Hitman WoA‘s money pit was added with The Disprutor Pack, a DLC of cosmetics you can purchase to open up access to The Ostentatious Elusive Target Arcade mission forever and celebrate the fact that Conor McGregor is an in-game character a little more. The pack is pretty cheap at a fiver and does just enough to spice up Agent 47’s wardrobe and the Freelancer compound that, as a big Hitman WoA fan, I believe is worth it. The only downside is working out where to find the location to pace all the new items.

You can find the location for the money pit in Hitman WoA‘s Freelancer compound by heading outside to the fishing pier. Close to the compound itself, but in view of the pier, you should see a tree. The money pit goes next to that tree. You’ve got to interact with the location and place the money pit before you can use it. Once it’s down, you can set the money alight and have Agent 47 start into it, contemplating how much of the money he’s earned is the direct result of an assassination.

If you’re unsure that you’ve picked the right item, as I was when trying to place the money pit, then look at the option at the bottom of the screen. The money pit is a premium item, so it’ll display for everyone, but you won’t be able to place it unless you own the correct pack.

Unfortunately, this isn’t an item you can unlock for the Freelancer compound in Hitman WoA by completing more missions and learning more money and levels. It’s purely an item that’s linked to The Disruptor Pack. If you get the pack, make sure you place all the items from it, including a new dining table, because they’re the fanciest items I’ve seen in the game to date.

The reason the money pit was added alongside Conor McGregor’s The Disruptor Elusive Target mission is that he’s often seen doing the exact opposite of what most millionaires do. He’s been photographed throwing money out into a crowd in a club, and while literally burning it in a pit may be taking that side of him to the extreme it’s certainly in the same wheelhouse.
