Whether you’re looking to sell your Pals or hoping to find a particular Pal to add to your Paldeck, you shouldn’t overlook the Black Marketeers. Yes, they’re questionable at best, but we can overlook that if they give us a rare Pal that we’ve been looking for, right?
These shady looking Merchants can be found all over Palpagos, but they’re not in the most obvious of places. Of course they’re not, they’re selling contraband, so they can’t just hang around with the Wandering Merchants!
Black Marketeers change their ‘stock’ of Pals each time you’re in the area, so I can’t tell you exactly what they’re going to be selling. You’ll just have to pop in for a chat if you’re nearby and hope they have what you’re looking for.
Interestingly, you can capture these NPCs and host them at your base. Each time you teleport home (or shove them back into the Palbox and take them out again), they’ll have a different selection of Pals to choose from. However, they’re all at least level 40, so capturing them tends to be a little difficult.
Abandoned Mineshaft Black Marketeer
To find this guy, you’re going to have to jump off a cliff before going spelunking, because he’s located in the Abandoned Mineshaft below Desolate Church. If you’re looking for them, there’s a Journal Entry sitting just outside the entrance.
The yellow arrow in the map above shows the location of the entrance. Just explore the cave tunnel and you’ll find the Black Marketeer in the cavern at the end.
Sealed Realm of the Frozen Wings Black Marketeer
This Black Marketeer is located close to the level 15 Alpha Penking. You’ll find him doing his best Big Bad Wolf impression in the woods up on the cliffs South-East of the Sealed Realm of the Frozen Wings fast travel point.
Mount Flopie Summit Black Marketeer
Head to the Mount Flopie Summit fast travel point and travel to the small beach area on the Westernmost side of the island. At the Northern tip of the beach, go into the small tunnel and you’ll find the Black Marketeer on a ledge to your left.
Cove Mineshaft Black Marketeer
The easiest way to find this Black Marketeer is by heading to the Sealed Realm of the Winged Tyrant fast travel point. The entrance to this mineshaft is down at the bottom of the ravine to the West.
My yellow arrow on the map above shows the entrance to the mineshaft, just follow it around to find the Black Marketeer and all his guillotines inside.
Duneshelter Black Marketeer
Fast travel to Duneshelter, but instead of going into the city walls, run around the outside until you are at the opposite side to the entrance. This Black Marketeer will be enjoying the sunshine (or melting inside all of those layers) around the back.
Icy Weasel Hill Black Marketeer
Right at the end of the path North of the Icy Weasel Hill fast travel point, you’ll find this Black Marketeer staring off the edge of the cliff in the woods.
