As you upgrade your Base in Palworld, you’ll notice that doing so increases the amount of Pals you can put to work and eventually increase the number of bases you can have. However, at first, only the maximum number of Pals increases. Here is when you can build a second base in Palworld and really start to increase your production.
How to unlock a second base
To build a second base in Palworld, you just need to keep leveling up your first one. To be exact, you need to level your first base up to Base Level 10. Once you reach Base Level 10 you will unlock the ability to build a second base wherever you want. It can take a little while to reach Base Level 10, but it’s definitely worth it.
Keep in mind that along the way you’ll also be unlocking new technologies as well. This will allow you to really build your production using your Pals as well as give you the technology needed to take on tougher Pals including bosses.
Where should you build your second base?
As if picking where to build your first base wasn’t hard enough, choosing where to build your second base is equally difficult. An important note is that the Pal Box that you use to build your second base also gives you a free teleport location. Therefore you want to pick a location that you’d like to have consistent easy access to. In my opinion, you don’t want to put up your second base near where there is already a teleporter unlocked.
I personally chose a flat and open location that gave had access to three big iron ore nodes in close proximity. You will need a lot of Iron Ore for Ingots and Nails, especially as you start to prepare for the middle and late game of Palworld. You’ll probably be close to start producing better weapons including guns, so make sure you have room to do that efficiently.
