The PS VR2 headset was originally released for the PlayStation 5, but Sony is now expanding its functionality to make it possible for PC players to play VR games using the headset adapter.

The company has mentioned in the official PlayStation Blog that it built the PS VR2 from “the ground up specifically for PS5” which is why some features that are present on the PS5 will be missing on PC. These features include the absence of HDR, headset feedback, adaptive triggers, eye tracking, and haptic feedback (except rumbling).

However, features such as 4K resolution, 110-degree field of view, see-through view, finger touch detection, 3D Audio, and foveated rendering without eye tracking will be present for PC.

The PC adapter for PS VR2 will be sold for $59.99 in the US, and users will also need a DisplayPort 1.4 cable to use the headset for PC, sold separately.
