Sony Interactive Entertainment has officially revealed the new titles that it will be offering up for all of its PlayStation Plus subscribers for February 2023 — And it’s a blam-blam-heavy quartet for this month, with offerings Evil Dead: The Game, Destiny 2: Beyond Light, Mafia: Definitive Edition and, perhaps the most violent title of the four, OlliOlli World.

Released in May of last year, Evil Dead: The Game is an atmospheric asymmetrical multiplayer title, meticulously crafted by Saber Interactive. A tribute to the legacy of the notorious horror series, Evil Dead: The Game brings together heroes and villains gathered from Sam Raimi’s iconic movie trilogy, the goofy TV series Ash vs. The Evil Dead, and Fede Álvarez’s excellent 2013 remake for a bloodsoaked battle between Man and Deadite. With the new “Splatter Royale” mode launching today, now is as good a time as any to dive into the mayhem of this fun, no-holds-barred scrapper.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is the 2020 remake of the classic 2002 open-world adventure, set against the backdrop of Prohibition-era Illinois. The story follows a Sicilian-American cab driver, who finds himself pulled into the dangerous underworld of organized crime, ultimately rising through the ranks to become a feared, dangerous mobster.

Developed by Hangar 13, Mafia: Definitive Edition retains the story, structure, and gameplay of the original release, but spruces up the visuals, mechanics, activities, and dramatic intent of the crime sim with elements pulled from its latter-day sequels, such as 2016’s acclaimed Mafia III. It would receive a mighty 9/10 score from Destructoid’s Brett Makedonski upon release.

OlliOlli World, from British developer Roll7, is a colorful and stylistic skateboarding game, the third title in the much-loved OlliOlli series. Set in the 2D world of Radlandia, OlliOlli World sees a spritely protagonist embark on a series of missions and side objectives, utilizing their top-tier grinding skills to traverse the city in slick ‘n’ swift fashion. The sequel was heavily praised upon release for its satisfying physics, attractive hand-drawn visuals, and unique take on the skateboarding genre.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is the fifth major expansion for Bungie’s blockbuster sci-fi shooter series, and was originally released in the fall of 2020. The narrative sees the player travel to Europa, a moon off the course of Jupiter, in order to confront Fallen Kell Eramis, hellbent on punishing the Traveler for what they see as their part in Europa’s economic downfall.

Beyond Light brings new powers to the player, in the form of ice-based abilities known as “Statis”. The expansion features new locations, missions, gear, and PvE environments, as well as an all-new Raid, though it was criticized for its lack of gameplay growth, as well as its new monetization options.

Evil Dead: The Game, Mafia: Definitive Edition, OlliOlli World, and Destiny 2: Beyond Light will all be available to download for all PlayStation Plus subscribers from February 7.
